Gone

She was cut off by a loud whimper coming from her room. Must be the cat.

"Cloudddd??" Yumi calls for him

"Cloud?.."

"Aww are you hungry again?" Yumi said sweetly at the tired looking ball of fur (that's how cat's r described now k? k.)

He starts vomiting and Yumi starts to panic.

"Oh my god, that's worse than last time.." she runs to get Cloud ready for the vet.

"Stay with me, Cloud.." Yumi breathes heavily. Yumi's mom got cloud when she was 3 years old. Cloud was Yumi's first best friend and was guaranteed that he was going to be her last although, he was getting old. She couldn't change her cat's fate, She couldn't spend more time with him when she had the chance, She couldn't do anything about it which made her feel guilty.

*Vet's office*

"I'm sorry ma'am, but the cat is old. I'm afraid he won't be able to make it for much longer.."

"Y- Yes.. I get it.." Yumi smiled at the vet. She was in pain.

"Do you want to take her home? Or would you like to see him pass here?.. I know you would prefer at home but I don't think he has the strength to make it long enough to reach your house.."

"I- I'll stay.." Yumi says as she sits next to her dying cat.

A few minutes pass and she hears clouds heart monitor beep.

"Wh- What's happening?"

"His heart beat's slowing down.."

"So this is it?.."

"I'm afraid so.."

Cloud whimpers as his breaths get slower. Yumi rubs his back for comfort until he finally stopped breathing. He was gone, Cloud was gone. Her best friend since she was a little girl, gone.

"There's a place here called 'Society of Pet Cremation Services' and it's an animal graveyard. (Yes ik that place is in georgia but idc). They built it really near the Vet so just in case a death of a pet happens, they'll bury the animals there. Do you want to come with me or should I do it?.."

She stares at Cloud's lifeless body before answering the Vet

"I- I think it's best if I don't.. I might break down or something.." I chuckle in pain
"I don't want the spirit of my cat seeing me cry do I?"
The vet nodded, leading me to the exit.

I walk alone, with my hands in my pocket. I stared up at the moon and saw cloud's image licking his paws happily, making me cry even more. I stopped walking and rested near a lamp post. I sat there and sobbed. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket, startling me. I open the notification, seeing a text from Jimin.

JIMIN'S POV

I was bored our of my mind. I had no idea what to. Namjoon hung up on me while we were Facetiming and everyone else is asleep. Except for Yumi. She had trouble sleeping and was being forced to take sleeping pills. She never liked them. She would only take them if her parents were watching or her therapist tells her to take them in front of them, but other than that, she despised them.
