Saiki dragged us up to the roof, conveniently no one else was up there. we sat down near the edge of the roof just admiring the view.

'hey saiki?'

'yes (y/n)?'

'if I didn't move here do you think we would have ever seen each other again?'

Saiki stayed silent, I took this as a bad sign. I looked down with a sharp pang of emotions stabbing at my heart, but suddenly Saiki gets up and opens his hand for me to take. I gladly take the offer and stand up as well. once we are both standing, Saiki starts speaking;

'(y/n), I never told you this in fear of you running away but I cant stand you not knowing any longer.'

this shocked me into silence, even though I said nothing my eyes begged him to continue and so he did. but not before grabbing both of my hands and placing one of them on his chest;

'do you feel that? my heartbeat?'

i nod, still curious to where this is going,

'it has been beating for you and only you for a very long time, since we where kids i have been yours, so it doesn't matter if you came here or not. i wouldn't have stopped looking until i found you.'

i was speechless. Saiki released the hand he was holding by his side and placed it on my cheek, by now i probably looked like the love child of a tomato and a strawberry, but in this moment it didn't matter to either of us.

'i love you (y/n) i am so happy you returned to me'

tears pooled out of my eyes as i rethink the words he had just said, Saiki desperately waited for a reply but i was still frozen. he sighs and looks down dropping both my hands in the process.

'its okay if you don-

i cut him off the only way I could. I kissed him so very passionately it was almost unreal. Saiki had the look on surprise on his face but for only a brief moment until he kissed back with the same force. we stayed like that for about ten seconds before separating for air, just for a moment before kissing again. once we pulled apart again I said

'I love you too saiki, nothing could get in the way of that.'

and for the first time in a while, he smiled. it must have been contagious because as soon as he did, I smiled as wide as ever. Saiki brought me into a tight embrace as if was the last one ever. I didn't want this to end.
