Higher class

The school is divided into two groups the lower class and high class they are separated by power type ,power strength , looks and age to be in the higher class they have to be older than 15 and they also should be able to use magic and control it and be able to maintain it for a long period of time. Anyone that does not meet their standards is put in the lower class. Every year they do an exam to see if anyone in the lower class meet the standards to be in the higher class all the students that meet the standards are ordered to do one last test kill a level 8 demon the survivors are transferred to the higher class.

The higher the number the stronger the demon the number only go up to twelve. twelve the strongest level and one the weakest level.

The students in the higher class are assigned dorms.

Shen POV.

By the middle of the school year there were already a bunch of rumors about all the higher class students. Apparently the years before almost 50% passed but last year only 20% passed and some people say they changed last years test and they gave the kids level 9 demons I also heard not even the top student in the higher class cant kill a level 9 but for some reason everyone still wants to be part of the higher class still after hearing that.

7 years later next year I have to do the test for the higher class but i'm kinda scared. For the past few years the pass percentage has dropped to 5% and now there are no groups while fighting the demons you fight them by yourself and your only aloud to use magic and no weapons and even if you pass that test they only allow 4 people to join the higher class everyone is nervous that there gonna change it to three after seeing how weak the lower class students are now. Everybody is guessing Rose, Clara, Zak and Shin are gonna pass nobody in my class even notices me besides my brother Zak but even he thinks i'm not gonna pass because my eye is the only power I have and it's not that strong but i'm gonna prove everyone wrong next year and become the strongest students in the higher class.

The day of the exam it starts with all student age 15 meet up and they start the first part where everyone has to use their magic and continue to use it as they attack or put you in a place where your magic is hardest to use the top 100 students to hold it the longest go to the demon part only five kids passed in my class me, Shin ,Zak, Clara and Rose but this year the demon part was even harder you would have to go against two level 9 demons in the dark surrounded by trees as I was the last one to go as I entered I could somehow since the demon my eyes quickly adjusted to the dark then I heard the gate close meaning the demon were there I stood there for a second then I saw the red eyes I quickly pulled my eye patch off then I stared at a tree setting it on fire so I could tell where it was going then suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder I turned around and "BANG" all I heard was the speakers saying she's out but I wasn't ready to give up I quickly got up but this time I felt different I saw the demon running towards me at the last moment I closed my eyes then lifted my hand "BANG CRACK SNAP" I opened my eyes to see both of the demons lying in a puddle of blood suddenly the gate opened I looked around everyone's was looking at me as if I had done something wrong they all looked as if they had seen a ghost you should have seen the looks on there faces out of nowhere one of the higher class student from last year appeared in front of me and congratulated everyone who survive then our teachers came all of them had this sad and happy look on there face I guess because only 3 kids survived. I almost forgot about my sibling I quickly looked around then I suddenly noticed I was the only one in my class who survived. I got a sick feeling in my stomach it felt as if somebody had just tied my insides together then suddenly.
