May 8th, 2019: Him

I awoke from my bed after hearing the morning hustle and bustle of Los Angeles from my penthouse. Guess it was time to get up for the day. Groggily getting out of bed, I open up the curtains only to have the sun beam into my eyes and to take the sleep right out of them. I sent an order downstairs for breakfast to be brought up before going to the bathroom and hopping in the shower. Once I was clean, I went into my closet to decide what to wear for the day. I decided to go for a pair of black skinny jeans and one of my many tank tops. I paired the outfit with my usual pair of black Vans.

After I ate, I began to get my day started by working on a song; it was definitely a work in progress, but I haven't had much inspiration as of recently. There was just something missing, but I couldn't seem to place what exactly the missing piece was. I spent about an hour and half on it before I couldn't move forward anymore. The record label was really pushing for us to have a new album ready, but things were not as perfect as I know we can make them. Thankfully I was able to get a few more weeks of wiggle room. Now I have the day for myself.

I decided to call up my best friend and band mate, Mikey; he was the drummer for the band. This kid has been my best friend since grade school. We really have been through it all together: from break ups to family members passing away, we have been by each others side. He had such a wild side and really didn't seem to have a care in the world. Mikey knew how to live life in the moment and never looked back. I admired that about him. I asked if he wanted to kick it at skate park like we used to do back in middle school, of course he agreed.
