Around a hundred miles or so, a black and red cloud started to form in the blizzard just outside of the crystal empire. It grew and grew until lighting started to shoot out. It grew big before it retreated back, forming the shape of a stallion. It them melted to the ground and in the snow stood a gray unicorn with black hair. He gave a laugh.

"I'm back." He said and looked to the crystal empire. His red eyes narrowed at it, the anger in his grew. He know he could take it back, but right now he had other business.

"King Sombra will return and rule over you all. But first, I have some unfinished business." Sombra said, removing his armor as it would only slow him down and galloped off, following the train tracks. He knew his targets and knew they came from a small town called ponyville. His face turned to a scowl.

He had studied in his time of banishment and became stronger. Strong enough to escape. He slowed to a trot once he cleared the snow. He had returned, yes, but he was now just a normal unicorn. He couldn't control smoke, but he still could control the crystals. He smiled and looked at his flank, seeing three red crystals. He would pick off the ponies, one by one then returned to his kingdom.

As he trotted, he saw it. Ponyville. He stayed hidden. He looked around and nodded, seeing that no pony was around. He closed his eyes, doing a spell and felt his body change. When he opened his eyes, he walked over to a lake and looked at his reflection. It was perfect.

He still was gray with black hair, but his eyes were a dazzling blue and his horn was now straight. His hair was also spiked, not wavy. He was also now shorted but a few hoofs, but still taller then most ponies.

"Perfect." He said. His voice was still deep, but not rough anymore. It was smooth. He walked into town and saw two of his enemy's. He frowned and followed them. He saw the sit and walked around, making sure he wasn't spotted before hiding behind the tree, listening to there conversation.

"Fluttershy, you shouldn't be ashamed of that." He heard the orange pony tell her friend. Sombra leaned on the tree, trying to hear what she was ashamed of.

"But I am. My parents would never accept me, nor would the ponies of ponyville." She said. He heard a laugh come from the orange pony. Sombra smiled.

'Perfect. Just tell me what and i can use it against you and your friends.' He thought.

"Well, I can't speak for your parents, but I can speak for ponyville. I live her and I except you, mare loving and all." He heard and his mouth dropped. The yellow pony, Flutter-whatever, likes mares.

"Thank you Applejack." He heard her say and Sombra was trying not to laugh. This was perfect and would lead to her down fall. All he need was the one she loved and he would have his first fallen victim.

"So, just mares?" He heard Apple-boy ask.

"No, I find stallions attractive, but I know every stallion in ponyville and I don't like them that way." Flutter-whatever said. Sombra held in a growl, but that smiled and ran off. If she did like stallions.

"I will make her fall for me!" He said and ran into a dark forest that was covered in fog. He would find a base and come up with his plan there.
