Looking out over the sea of stars, I sigh.

Today is our seventh anniversary and my birthday, and yet Damien is still late. Again.

I sigh and look down at myself. I decided to wear a sexy bikini because we had planned on going swimming, but now I'm regretting it. If he doesn't show up in the next minute I swear to-

"Hey, hot stuff."

I'd know that voice anywhere. I turn my head to see Damien in swim shorts with a towel thrown over his shoulder. He's carrying a bag that must have the food that he said he'd bring. At least he did that.

"Sorry I'm late, babe. There was a line up for the cake you like, and then I needed to get those special grapes you love and-"

"Hey," I say, standing. I walk over to him and put a hand on his cheek. "I forgive you. Can you just make sure you're not late next time?"

He nods, leaning into my touch. "Yes ma'am."

"C'mon." I grab his hand and take him over to the place I had set up. "I want to at least get a little bit if swimming in before the stars go away."

Damien sets down the bag of food next to my towel, lays out his own, and follows me to the water. I wade in until it's up to my knees and stop to look out at the wonders of this world.

I hear a splash and turn to see Damien rising out of the water I with stars in his hands.

"Come here!" he says, gesturing to the stars in his hands. They don't bite."

I walk over and hesitantly reach a hand out to touch one. As soon as I touch it, it hops onto my hand and looks at me.

I smile and touch the top of it's head. "You're adorable."

To my surprise, it pulls a ring out of it's belly and holds it out to me.

I look up at Damien, but he's looking back at me with a look that has so much hope and yet so much uncertainty.

"Blakely," he begins, taking the ring from the star and getting in one knee. As if on cue, all of the stars around us start to float into the air and dance around us. "Last week I had this dream where you and I were married and lived together with two kids - two little boys - and I thought that it would be wonderful to have that dream become real life."

He looks up at me with a look full of so much love that I can't help but bring my hands to my mouth. Tears start to gather in my eyes when he says, "Blakely, will you you marry me, and make my dream come true?"

I start to cry, and when I see the concern appear on Damien's face, I remove my hands from my mouth to reveal the most happy smile that has ever appeared on my face in my entire life. "Yes! A thousand, million times yes!"

He stands up and takes my hand. He puts the ring on my finger and smiles. "I love you, princess."

"I love you too, my prince."
