I roll around to lay on my other side and I feel Jason pull me closer. I move the blanket up to cover myself from the sun coming in the window. I can hear Jason laugh and I move away.
"Oh no, I don't think so," he pulls me back close to him. I feel him sprinkle kisses on the back of my neck.
"That's very relaxing," I mumble and let myself relax.
"Good," he whispers and keeps kissing my neck. I turn around and look at him. His eyes are so bright in the sunlight.
"You're eyes are beautiful," I whisper.
"You are beautiful," Jason kisses my forehead softly.
I cuddle back up to him and close my eyes. He holds me close. I relax enough to go back to sleep. When I wake up, he isn't there. I sit up to throw my hair up then I walk downstairs. I can hear the tv turned to the news.
"Jason?" I look at the couch and he isn't there.
"In the kitchen," he says.
"Hey," I move under one of his arms as he is cooking pancakes.
"Hey, did you rest well?" He kisses the top of my head.
"Mhmm," I hug onto him tightly.
"Good, breakfast will be done shortly," he says then moves to look at the tv. I walk in the living room and sit on the couch.
"Breaking news someone sent a very threatening note to the police station demanding they hand over or give out the information to find this girl. According to the note, this girl got the persons friend arrested when they, quote 'weren't finished with her' and quote. Now we take you to Cindy, who is with the Sheriff. Cindy?" Some lady says and my picture flashes up. I go into panic mode.
"Yes, Thank you Anna. Sheriff, what is your response to this note?" The lady, whom I am assuming is Cindy, asks.
"Well we would like to know who wrote this note obviously and how they have obtained information that has not yet been made public. To the person who wrote this note, we ask you to come forward because I can assure you that you will not find that girl, but we will find you," the sheriff says and trust me when I say it sounded as cheesy as you are thinking it did.
"Is there anything the people at home can do?" Cindy asks.
"If you have information on who wrote the note please call us," he says.
"Will the people of the county be safe? Is this someone who would harm any of us?" Cindy questions.
"We do not believe this person who do anything to endanger the people. Whoever they are, they want the girl. The only way the public would be in danger is if they know where the girl is," the sheriff says to the relief of, I'm guessing, everyone, but me. And Jason.
"Great so now you could be in trouble and they clearly aren't afraid to do whatever they can to get me. I may as well just give myself up. What harm can it possibly do?" I look back, but Jason must have walked back in the kitchen.
"Jason?" I get up and walk over to him. He still doesn't say anything. He doesn't even act like I was in the room.
"Jason you can't just ignore me," I grab his arm and he jerks it away.
"What harm can it possibly do? You have no idea what this person will do once they get you. It would be selfish to do that. To let yourself get hurt when you have people who care about you and people who want to make sure no matter what you are safe," Jason looks at me with a mixture of hurt, confusion, and anger.
"Who cares? Let's see. Um you and only you," I cross my arms.
"Okay so that's not good enough. I'm not good enough? Okay fine. If you want to go end this situation so bad, go for it. I can't and won't stop you. I can't waste my time one someone who is going to have zero respect or care about the fact that I am the only one who may care about her. I hate to say it, but it will be your loss," Jason takes the pan off the stove, then goes upstairs leaving me in tears.
