*Brookes POV*

"Okay, it's now or never," I look from Ben to Max.

"We will be right here. If something happens just scream and we can hear you," Ben looks at me seriously. I nod and get out of the car and walk through the park so if they are watching they can't see where I am coming from.

It's pretty chilly out tonight so I pull my jacket tighter. I walk quickly to my moms house well my dad pays for it, but he is almost never around. I look straight down and take deep breaths. I get to her house and look at it. The house I grew up in. It wasn't perfect, she isn't the most loving or caring mother, but she gave me a place to stay, a car, food, and clothes, with my dads money of course. Her window is open and the light is on, but there is no one in there. She is probably in the kitchen or bathroom.

I walk down the driveway to look for a note. I walk around the house and it's above a window at the side of the house. I jump to get it and barely do, but I fall on my back.

"Ahh crap," I breathe rapidly and stay there for a few minutes. I sit up and look around. I hear footsteps to my left. I hold my breath, moving against the house as quietly as possible.

"I know you are over here somewhere. I promise I won't hurt you," I hear a distorted voice say. I let out my breath slowly and breathe back in slowly. I close my eyes out of fear and hear the steps get closer. When I open my eyes they are in front of me.

"Hey sweet doll. I have been waiting to see you again. Now, I could kill you, but then he wouldn't get my note, so I'll spare you. Unless of course he doesn't play my game," they hold me against the house by my throat pretty tight. I feel their knife drag across my stomach leaving a gash.

"Please, don't hurt him," I struggle to speak and draw more breath.

"Then that means you will go ahead and take everything right now and no one will ever find your body," the person whispers in my ear.

"Go ahead," I close my eyes and feel my body tense, waiting on them to stab me or something. They walk off and call someone and have their back to me. I take off up the road and through the park then trees to where they are waiting.

"Go," I speak softly, not looking back. Without questions, Ben speeds off and Max rubs my shoulder.

"What happened?" Ben asks after fifteen minutes of silence.

"They had a distorted voice so I wouldn't recognize it. They held me against the house by my throat and I told them to not hurt Jason so they said they would kill me right then, but they called someone first. So I just ran for my life," I say, leaving out the part where they cut my stomach and the hint they gave by calling me sweet doll.

We stop by the police station and tell them everything and give them the note. I get back in the car and my stomach really start hurting, but I act normal so they don't ask. They somehow manage to get me laughing and I forget about the pain until I stop laughing and it is intensified. Then we get down the driveway and Ben says there is something on his car.

"Go go go!" I scream, thinking they found us.

"You go in! We can take care of it!" Ben yells at me.

"Ben that's not going to help anything! That was stressful enough!" Max yells and I open the door. Max goes in the kitchen and I walk to Jasons office.

"Baby are you okay?" He gets up and hugs me. I start cry and squeeze onto him.

"Shhh baby, it's okay," he kisses my head.
