Shoved to the ground, the girl was dealt another fowl blow to the gut. Her classmates walked off laughing with her belongings. She coughed up a bit of blood as she lay on the cold concrete. For awhile she just sat there, in the cold dark of the alleyway she gazed wearily up to the sky. As the clouds passed by a tear streamed down her face. A tear she had shed so many times, too many times.
Whispering, the girl said to herself, "Why?".
Thinking of her parents that left her there to suffer alone, her hate grew. Not just for the world and the people in it, but for herself.
