Third world problems are being homeless, jobless, poverty-stricken.

I've always known that I'm a lucky person - with a happy family, a roof over my head, a first class education. We read about these unfortunate, impoverished people in books, newspapers, we even see them on our huge plasma TVs. These are people that we feel for, but their lives are not something that we'd ever have to endure - so yes, I'd way that we have smaller problems.

However, within these smaller problems, there are big issues. Even people with the same happy families, the same luxurious houses and the same fulfilling education have problems that are so much bigger than mine. I'd say that they have the most to write about. But what do you do when your best friends go through this shit, and all you can do is become a bystander?
