Lost in the darkness

Chapter 1: Discovery

Tosharagi's POV

I was sitting in the living room with my dads Shoto and Fumikage having a tea party when I felt my hand set on fire. I looked up at my dad's and they brought me to the hospital. Once we arrived we entered a room and waited for the doctor to show up. Once he arrived he asked my parents a bunch of questions about me. After awhile they finally make me lay down and they take a few tests.

"Shoto and Fumikage your daughter Tosharagi's quirk is called shadow fire. She can create fire and the darker it gets the stronger it is." The doctor says to my parents.

"What's the set back to her quirk?" Shoto asks a little nervous.

"If it gets too dark she can lose control over the fire and burn herself and her surroundings." The doctor says looking at his clipboard.

Fumikage comes over to me and picks me up in his arms.

"Can we leave now?" Fumikage asks the doctor ready to get out of the hospital and go home.

"Yes have a nice day." He says as Fumikage carries me out to the car.

Once we get home my dad Todoroki tucks me in bed and tells me a story.
He kisses my forehead and turns off the light leaving the room. I close my eyes and try to sleep but I hear my parents arguing downstairs. I crawl out of my bed quietly and open my door slowly so it doesn't squeak. I walk over to the top of the stairs and look downstairs at my parents.

"Todoroki calm down" Dad yells at my other dad Shoto.

"Why should I, she is only 5 she won't be able to control her quirk, she could injure herself badly if we don't teach her how to control it."

"Exactly she is only 5 she isn't going to be out of our sight unless she's at school where the teachers know how to handle children's quirks!" Fumikage whisper shouts at Shoto leaving the living room and heading upstairs to his room.

I quickly tiptoe to my room and close the door hoping my dad's didn't see me. I hope into my bed and try to close my eyes but I can't stop thinking about what they said. What were they arguing about I couldn't understand what they were saying?

I hear the door creak open so I close my eyes and pretend I'm asleep. I hear Fumikage walk over to my bed and whisper in my ear to be careful. I don't know what he means by that but it's probably not that important.

My dad leaves the room and I try to get a good night's sleep. Eventually I close my eyes and start to fall asleep.
