Chapter 3

Jennie's POV

"Are you sure you don't wanna come with us?" Jisoo asked for a hundred time now

I know she's just worried for me,because you know that annoying wife of mine keeps on breaking my heart

"Yeah I'm sure chu,and besides I don't want to be a third wheel anymore" I whispered the last words,cuz Lisa might hear it,but unfortunately she still heard it

"What do you mean?" Lisa furrowed her eyebrows

"Ahmm-" I tried my best to think of a good excuse but nothing came out on my mind, stupid me

"Yeah,what do mean Jennie" Jisoo said in an unrecognizable tone, she looked at me intently like she's telling me that 'Don't you dare say anything to her' ,I gulped

"Oh nothing,don't mind me Lisa" I bit my lower lip,I know that Jisoo is going to scold me later

Lisa just shrugged her shoulder not minding the death glare that Jisoo is giving me

"I gotta go" I should get out of here,Jisoo might kill me

We bid goodbye to each other,I went to my car and drive all the way home

"Ugh I'm so hungry!" I whined and make myself comfortable on the couch

"What do you want to eat Jennie?,we're also going to the supermarket to buy some stuffs" Aunt Sally asked,If you're wondering she's the one who raised Chaeyoung she insisted that I should call her that instead

"Can you buy me ramen please?" She nodded and exited the door

I'm all alone here at this huge house,I should just come with them to the supermarket
And my wife is probably still in the university

I should watch a movie to at least entertain myself
In the middle of the movie my eyes started to give up,so I decided to take a nap while waiting for my food
So I went to my room upstairs

A loud thud outside of my room woke me up from my sleep
"I guess that's Aunt Sally" I immediately went out of my room but I saw that Chaeyoung's door is opened

'She's here?' I thought,I peeked through the window but Chaeyoung's car wasn't on the garage,so even though I have this feeling that something bad might happen,I slowly approached the room's door and opened it lightly

I peeked inside and my eyes widened from what I see or more like who, I saw a man in Chaeyoung's room,I think he was looking for something

I slowly turned on the emergency button that we have here in the house,so whenever something like this happens the guards and the police will know that you're in danger

I was about to leave from where I am but I saw he opened Chaeyoung's drawer and he took the box with our wedding ring inside of it

"Hey!give me that!" I shouted at the top of my lungs,he got startled from my sudden outbursts that's why he dropped the box,I immediately picked it up and run for my life

"Come back here woman!" I heard him shouted,I keep on running until I reach the living room but my clumsy ass can't cooperate I slipped and he reached me

I put the ring inside my pocket,"Take anything you want but please not this ring" I begged

"You're an Hindrance!" I was shocked when something poked on my side

I screamed in pain
I fell on the floor and soon fainted

Chaeyoung's POV

"Why can't you just at least try to love her back Chae?" Irene said while we're walking on the parking lot

She knows about my arrange marriage with Jennie,I'm not actually planing on telling her but I was cut off guard when she heard me talking to Jennie

"You know that I'm mad at her,because of her my girlfriend broke up with me" I hate it when she always bring up this kind of topic

"EX-girlfriend" she said emphasizing the word ex

"That's still the same" she rolled her eyes at me, I opened the car door

"I'll get going" she gave me a hug and leave

I quickly arrived at the subdivision,I was about to pass the guard house but the guard stopped me from my tracks so I stop and rolled down the car window

"Is there a problem?" I asked

"Ma'am I just want to ask if your wife is in your house" he asked back

"Maybe,why'd you ask?"

"The emergency button rang and it was coming from your house,the respondents were already at your house" I was suddenly got nervous from what I heard,I was shaking while I was driving

Even though I'm still far away from the house I can see a lot of police outside

As soon as I park my car I quickly climb out,I saw a man with a handcuff,what did this asshole do to Jennie?!

"Where's Jennie,where's my wife?!" I asked the police

"She's already at the ambulance ma'am" I ran to where the ambulance are and I saw her,the respondents were giving her first aid

I can see a lot of blood on her my knees wobbled from the sight,I can't believe it happened to her I feel like it was all my fault,even though I don't treat her that well I still have to take care of her because she's still my wife after all

Jennie's POV

I opened my eyes and everything is white,hospital,I tried to move but instantly regrets it,it hurts!,I roamed my eyes around the hospital I'm all alone,I thought even for once Chaeyoung would care about me but I'm wrong she's not here with me

But the door suddenly creeks open and it's Chaeyoung who entered the room

"It's good that you're awake" she looked directly at my face as if she's searching something,I feel like I'm going to melt from her stare

"Are you okay now?" She sincerely asked

"Yeah I'm okay" I smiled at her to show that I'm fine.

"Do you know that you were asleep for the past 3 days?" My eyes widened

"Why is that?" I asked

"You lost too much blood that's why,and one more thing" she walks closer to me and flick my forehead
"Why would you fight a criminal for a ring?"

"It's not just a ring Chaeyoung it's our wedding ring,I thought you throw it away but I'm so glad that you keep it,I value that ring so much because it symbolizes that I am married to you"

She kept quiet,she stood up and went to the door
"I'll go to your doctor and also get you some food" I nodded

But before she step outside she said something that make my heart flutter

"I know that the ring are important for you but it is not right to risk your life and if you really like me that much can you please take care of your self because I'm worried about you" and after that she walks out

Does it mean that I'm also important to her,I smiled from the thought
I probably look like a tomato right now

I hope we can stay like this forever
