This continued for several years, blossoming a strong friendship between the two. This friendship eventually became love. It took a while before they confessed their feelings for each other, but they eventually did...

"Look, we've been friends for a long time now, and I think it's time to tell you what I feel... I —love you Oliver!" the princess confessed. Oliver was shocked. He scratched his head as he blushed and said, "R–really? Because —I love you too!" Emile jumped in joy and pounced on him. They chuckled together and then, they kissed. They then pulled back from the kiss, stood up, said their goodbyes, and then went their separate ways.

Unbeknownst to the two, a maid had been spying on them. A few days back, the King noticed his daughter's disappearance every night. So he asked one of the maids to "Keep an eye on her. Watch her every move and follow her where ever she goes..." The maid ran as fast as she could and immediately reported to the King, "Your majesty! Your daughter has been going out to a lake in the forest and meeting a young English lad. I believe they're friends. However, just earlier, I saw her kiss the lad. She could be in love!" "WHAT?!" the King exclaimed. He was furious at the thought that her daughter had been with a British lad and that she was in love with him.

When the princess came back to her room, she was met with her furious father. Surprised, she let out a gasp. "Father, what are you doing here?" she asked. "A little bird told me you've been hanging out with an English boy lately, and that you apparently kissed." The King said in a fierce voice. "F–father!!! I can explain!" she said. The King shouted, "I don't want any explanation from you!!!" "B–but!" she stuttered. "Guards!!! Lock her up in the tower the West Wing and don't EVER lose sight of her!" the King ordered. "Father, please!" she shouted. "This is for your own good my daughter..." whispered the King, angrily.

Once the princess was locked up in the tower, she tried shaking the bars. The gate didn't budge. She eventually gave up. She went to a corner and cried, heavily, with a large hole in her heart. Knowing that her father locked her up in a tower just for being with, falling in love, with a British boy, broke her heart.
