Chapter 3

I was at home alone going through old pictures from middle school and high school. I came across my yearbook from Lincoln High School. I starred at it and began going through it . I can across the tenth grade section and saw me and Cash as best couple. It had be smiling from ear to ear . I kept looking through and saw a picture of me and Britt. "BRITT!" , I thought out loud . "SHE CAN PROBABLY GET IN CONTACT WITH CASH."

Britt and I were so close in high school we were bestfriends. We know everything about eachother. Or atleast we used to. Britt was super pretty she was a darker tone of caramel , short about 5 foot even she had medium length black hair , and pretty brown eyes. I sat back and thought of ways I could get in contact with Britt. Then the autograph page in the back of the book came to mind.

I flipped to the very last 3 pages and saw Britt's name first, hers said "Looooo I'm going to miss you sooooo much!!! We HAVE to keep in touch , I love you Lo-Your bffl Britt ❤️ .. I dialed her cell phone "hello Britt?" I asked into the phone , "Britt ? Me no , no a Britt" the Hispanic lady said in her thick accent. "Okay thanks" "mhmm" she replied hanging up .

I dialed her house phone and it went to voicemail ,"hello , I am not home at the moment , please leave your name , number and a brief message and I'll get back with you , Sheirly Wilson"

"Hey Ms.Wilson this is Lo one of Britt's friends from high school .. I was wondering if I could get in contact with her , my call back is 8179805674 , okay bye , love you"

Now all I can do is wait patiently ..

I got up went in the kitchen and decided I would make me brunch and prep my dinner. I took out eggs , sausage , and bread. I turned on my stove and placed my sausage in the skillet I flipped it over after 3 minutes and began stirring my eggs , I poured them in the warm skillet and stirred them around I got out two pieces of bread and placed it in the toaster , I turned of my sausage and eggs and put them on a plate. I took my tiers out and spread butter and grape jelly on top. I ate and played Farm Heros on my phone just to kill time. I finished up and washed my dish. I got a medium sized bowl out of the cabinet and the top that fits it. I got the boneless chicken breast out of the refrigerator and rinsed it off and placed it in the bowl. I seasoned it with various seasonings , I placed the top on and shook it it and put it back in the refrigerator.

I went in my room and got on Facebook just to see if I would be able to find Britt. I don't us it much and I rarely check it. I was out of luck so I turned to Instagram I typed in Brittani Wilson and 48 results popped up I looked through and I came across my old bestfriend BRITT! I quickly went to her page to see it was private. I sent her a request and waited for her to accept it.

I took a brief nap and woke up to see I had 3 missed calls a missed text and 5 Instagram notifications , I looked at the calls to see one from Ms.Wilson and two from an unsaved number. I went to my messages and saw that the unknown number said

"Hey it's me Britt call me asap!"

I grew excited and saw that the instagram notifications were Britt liking my pictures.

I'm not only getting in touch with Britt to find Cash but also because honestly I miss her. She has the best advice. I called Britt and age yelled in the phone "LOO BABY GIRL I MISSED YOU!" I laughed , " I missed your ghetto ass too Britt" "So girl what's up ?,where you living ?,how you living ?,you married ?,got kids ? Wassup ? Tell me something. " Britt said . "No kids , no hubby , no man , no life I live in Miama and I'm living alone." I replied , "ARE YOU SERIOUS !!! I stay in Miami too ! Maybe I should stop by ! what's your address we got catching up to do" Britt said . "Yes indeed , 212 mayflower dr , #446 the 2nd floor." I replied . "Okay on my way."

1 hour later

I stood outside Loe's condo it looked really nice. I rung the doorbell twice. "Commming" I heard Lo's faint voice get closer . We hugged for what felt like 2 years. She kissed me repeatedly on my cheek. We've always been like sister. "Okay okay you can come in the kitchen and sit at the island if you like, I'm cooking." Loe said. "girl I missed your cooking,what you making?" i asked "some grilled chicken" Loe said placing two pieces of chicken in the large skillet. "i think I'm going to make a chicken salad with this, you want one?" Loe offered. "Girl do I ? Yes ma'am i do." I laughed. "okay I got you, can you go to my fridge and get some lettuce , bacon bites , cheese , and the thousand island dressing please." Loe asked while she grabbed two plates. I gathered the things she asked for and sat it on the island. I grabbed her cutting bored and a knife , rinsed off the lettuce and began cutting enough off for the both of us. I cut all the lettuce up and placed it in a bowl with a top, and put it back in the fridge.

"Lemme see that cutting board" Lo said placing both pieces of chicken on it, she began cutting the chicken into small stripes and placed them on our plates, we made our salad and ate.

Me and Lo cleaned up the kitchen and made out way to the large living room. Lo's living room was tan and her favorite baby blue. She had a large tv and gorgeous painting on the wall. "You hear me?" Lo said . "Huh? My bad I was mesmerizing"

Lo laughed I got a real good designer. "Who you got? I asked "Lo "we both laughed. Loe has always been creative and I used to even have her do projects for me because she was so creative. "You did good Lo for real" i said " thanks honey"

"Okay so let's catch up" I said. " Well spill , are you in a relationship or ...?" "okay well I'm talking to this boy his name is Jaylon Jones, he is a detective , we've been talking for about a year and a half and we are ... Engaged ! " We both squealed. "Omg yesss I'm so happy for you ! !" Lo said. "And since you are sooooo good at decorating how about you be my wedding planner and my maid of honor if it's not to much to ask? I asked biting the inside of my lip. "I would be so very honored ! Of course I will" Lo said "I love him sooo much Lo he's amazing , he took my virginity and girl the-" "EWWWW stop nasty !!" Lo said cutting me off. we both laughed "Lo don't act like you don't get the penis" I said , Loe looked down shyly. "Lo ...You still a virgin?" I asked "Yes" Loe said lowly "awwwe Lo it's okay I know why too!" I said figuring it out. "You're still waiting on Cash aren't you!" I said smiling hard . "yesss !! im keeping my word , Britt I am still deeply in love with him , I can't move on from him it's so hard , I just want to talk to him, and also I saw him the other day at lunch but I was so scared to speak to him first." Lo explained.

"So you're telling me that Cash is in Miama! OMG girl this is great news!, now we just have to get you in touch with him and I know exactly the person" i said , Loe's head popped up quickly. omg for real!? well hurry I just need to hear his voice" Lo said. "okay one second" I said making a phone call. "hello hey I was wondering if I could in touch with Cash .... yea for Lo .... yessss bro she says she still in love with him .... Swear !? did he really say that ? ..... Okay okay give me his number..... okay 318...009...6262 .... okay thanks bro love ya..... iight..." I Said hanging up the phone.
