One Night With My Boss

Chapter 9

Jennie's POV

I went to my work excitedly. I woke up in a good mood because of Lisa. All night, Lisa embraced me like I'm the only woman she wants and needs. I felt like there's something special the way Lisa embraced me last night. That's why I am the most happy woman in the whole country.

From when I opened my eyes, there is already a wide smile in my lips. I'm happy.

Speaking of that woman, when I woke up, she was not beside me anymore. She just left a note that says she left early because she has to go somewhere important.

I was about to turn the door knob when I heard Jisoo calling out my name. One of my friends.

"Jennie!" She called out.

I turn around to face my friend. "What?"

She went near me and took my hand away from the door knob. "Shhh!" She said while she placed her index finger in her lips. "Don't be noisy." She pulled me away from the door of the office. "Don't come in first. Maybe you'll see something, you might be surprised. Since you're still a virgin."

I stilled from what I heard and I arched my eyebrow. "What are you talking about?"

She stopped from pulling me and turn around to face me. "Because you're late again today. There's a woman who entered the office of Ma'am Lalisa twenty minutes ago. And Irene has some papers that she needed Ma'am Lalisa to sign and that stupid girl went inside because she thought that you are inside, she told me that there is no one inside the office but she heard a loud moan coming from the bathroom of the office. Our prediction is, Ma'am Lalisa had a quickie with that woman."

I feel like someone poured a cold water to me. I think my heart stopped beating and I can hear my heart shattering to pieces.

I fake a laugh. "Is that it? Yeah, I think I should n-not come in first cause maybe I'll just d-disturb them."

Jisoo's face crumpled while she is looking at me closely. "Are you okay? You look pale."

I laughed lifelessly. "Yes. I am okay. I'm good." And now I fake laugh. "Okay, I'll just go downstairs. There in the coffee shop. Just text me if the woman went out already."

"Wait!" Jisoo stopped me.

I turn around again to face her. "What?"

"Did you change your number? I can't call you last night. How can I text you if I can't contact you? Did you know that--"

"Yes, I changed my number." I quickly took the phone out.

Jisoo's eyes widened. "Oh my god! Do you know how expensive that phone you're holding is?"

I just nod and gave my number to Jisoo by copying it to a piece of paper I had on my shoulder bag. "That's my new number. Text me if Ma'am Lalisa's visitor has went out of the office." 

I gave Jisoo a fake smile then hurriedly walk towards the elevator. My chest is tightening. I can't breath. My eyes are starting to water.

When got down of the building, I immediately proceeded to the coffee shop and ordered a brewed coffee. I prayed that that brewed coffee could take the bitterness that my heart is feeling right now. 

A few minutes has pass since I ordered the coffee when my phone started ringing. When I look at the screen to check on who is calling, it's none other than Lalisa Pranpriya the jerk.

I answered the call while my chest is still tightened. "Hello?"

"Jennie?! Where are you?!" Her voice is angry. "Are you that tired last night that you won't come to the office today?" The woman said on the other line.
