Waking up was another challenge Omar Salim Fatih encountered now in his life.
Before, he had used to be punctual. Punctual to the point that the others hated that about him. His employees and family, without any exception , despised his punctuality. Yes, it was convenient and very assuring. But it soon became a hassle and disturbance to everyone. What with his temper, he would get frustrated even if it was a minute late.
But now that Omar Fatih's life had drastically changed, he couldn't keep track of the time, with it slipping through his fingers so quick. He now barely had time to sleep, and barely had time to come home. That's how hectic his life had become.
In a way, it was all thanks to the Almighty, that his mother and family were able to look after the baby. They always berated him for not spending enough time with the baby. But what could he possibly do?
Besides the monster spent enough time, planning revenge from him, by keeping him awake for some nights, while crying.
He hated those nights.
Omar Fatih couldn't help but be amused thinking of how smart the barely few months old baby was.
Brushing off the thoughts, he got up and went to the bathroom. Looking at his morning hair in the mirror, he wondered if he needed a new haircut. With everything happening around him, sometimes he forgot to take care of himself. His hair had grown. Some of the strands falling onto his forehead almost touching his eyebrows. And the other strands sticking at sides.
In an hour, he was able to get fully dressed in a suit and Oxfords. He adjusted his tie and looked at himself in the mirror.
An emotionless bastard.
That's what he saw. But only a keen person could discern the real feelings and the raging war behind those eyes. Those grey eyes which had a storm brewing in them.
He turned around, away from the mirror and went out of his room, rushing downstairs. He walked to the dining hall, from which he heard loud voices. As expected everyone had already seated themselves.
Greeting them all silently, Omar joined the table. Being the eldest Son of Salim Zaram Fatih, he was seated to his father's left. While his mother was across him, on his father's right. The others were seated randomly, with the children fitting in as well.
It was a large family. Since Salim was the eldest and only living Son of Zaram Fatih, ultimately, he became the father figure to all of them. After the death of his two sons and their wives, Zaram couldn't hold on for long and he had gone through a cardiac arrest, before leaving the world for good.
Naveed, Khalid, and Salman were discussing heatedly about the coming up ICC game and how the teams were preparing. Maria, Rahma and Najeeba were discussing some random topic. Omar heard a few exchange of words involving, 'handsome', 'cute', 'hot' and 'perfect'.
Mina was quite as usual, probably thinking about work and the others were also pretty much occupied. The ones who weren't in the hall, were helping Umaira in the kitchen.
Well, having maids didn't help the Fatih family at all, what with the empire of Fatih children.
Once Umaira and the girls had placed all the food, and had seated themselves, Salim started to eat, and the others followed.
"Mama? Has-?"Omar asked, remembering he had completely forgotten to check up on the baby.
"Yeah . The baby is sleeping." She said, somewhat distracted.
