Years had passed.

JiU had no idea how many years or even days had passed since her memory of shutting the mansion gates and confining herself and her friends to be consumed by the evil besotted upon them unfairly

Though they were all mostly untouched by time, their friendships hadn't weathered so well. It was rare that JiU ever met Siyeon, much less SuA.

Everyone had their own problems, was the conclusion she drew, also not forgetting that they were all infected by evil, evil things festering inside them in God knows what potency.

It wasn't that they didn't trust each other, but they all found nothing worth confiding in and were dealing with internal conflicts unseen by outside eyes.

JiU almost felt like herself as she wandered the dark mansion's corridors. She still remembered who she'd been back in the human world - An innocent young girl away at summer school with new friends.

The now-her that felt to have grown somewhat in appearance and maturity was plagued by desires to escape this endlessly dark place, with the endless and winding corridors as well as windows to nowhere. It was always stormy outside of those windows, filling the corridors with flickering white light that always left dull spots in JiU's eyes if she didn't stay looking towards the inside walls.

Once, she'd tried to look through the windows, but all she saw was white and all she heard was rain, smashing aggressively into the windowpanes. She had never tried again, figuring she would get no answers to desperate questions by looking out of the blank windows.

JiU stepped down another turquoise-walled corridor and glanced at the styled lamps gleaming with white light that seemed to belong the era she'd been stolen from. Curtains were drawn over the windows here, but gave no indication of movement, only allowing light to flick through.

One memory from the mansion was the way the curtains billowed weakly when it was stormy and wind worked its way through cracks in the sealed windows. But here, there was no sort of thing occurring, as if the mansion was a sealed coffin where they would eventually suffocate and die. Happy ending.

"Looking miserable, JiU?" A voice joked from her side.

JiU turned to a mirror on the wall and met Gahyeon's mocking gaze. "Hi, Gahyeon. How's being trapped in a mirror treating you?"

She scowled. "I hate it. Seriously, I'm cursing Siyeon's name everyday."

"So, the same as ever." JiU gave a weak smile.

"Have you heard about Dami?"

"What about Dami? I haven't seen her recently, if that's what you're asking."

"Exactly. She's disappeared from here."

"Has she escaped?" Her eyes widened. "That's not possible."

"Well, no one knows and no one cares. That's the honest truth."

"What do you think has happened to her then?"

"Magic." Gahyeon shrugged. "She's been experimenting. I watched her in the mirror a lot."

"Magic." JiU repeated. "It exists?" She realised the stupidity of her question a moment later."Seeing we're all stuck in this damn alternate reality because of you. If you hadn't done this, we'd have been free to roam and cause nightmares." She glared threateningly in annoyance, but no hatred.

JiU saw no way to sensibly reply, so she changed topic, fully aware it was her fault they were trapped like this. "Seen the others much?"

"Siyeon and Handong are always in the darkroom. Yoohyeon's always taking the photos. SuA's around. The usual."

The photos. That was part of their job of living here.

People always appeared in the mansion. And they had a job to do with them. They were like spiders, luring in their prey and trapping them forever.

JiU never wanted to take part in the trapping. Never.
