"Please buckle your seatbelts, flight KE12 is preparing for lift off." I heard when the airplane pilot came on through the intercom.
I looked out of the window, the plane began moving, my heart beat going crazy, I looked out, beginning to panic.
Suddenly, I felt the aircraft speed up faster and faster, and then we were in the air, the plane at an angle, pointing upwards, I felt my body was leaning back, terrified to move, tears falling out of my eyes. I was leaving everything behind so fast, but it was all for the better. By now, my mother must have noticed I was gone, or not, she wasn't a good mom to care enough anyways. The guy next to me looked at me, shocked and even though he didn't know me he was concerned.
"Umm, you good there?" He asked, sounding worried.
"No." I broke down, him asking me, making me more of aware of me crying and what was going on, making me cry more than before.
"Look, I don't know what is wrong, but everything will be fine." He said. You took a look at his face, he had a beautiful structure to his face, his jaw defined, his nose, pinchable, a small mole located under his lips, his lips looked like he had just applied some chapstick. I looked down toward his legs, oh my god, my jaw dropped, his legs looked so muscular and fit, he interrupts my thoughts,
"Want some?" He offered me a piece of gum,
"Umm, no." I said, bowing with my head.
"You sure? Your ears will pop." He said smiling, his teeth, oh my Jesus christ, those teeth, that smile, so adorable.
"Does gum help?" I was inexperienced in plain flights and wanted to know.
"Yeah, if you have something to chew on the possibility of your ears popping lessens."
"Oh ok. Thanks?" I took the gum from his hand.
"I'm sorry about earlier, I just, I'm leaving this place forever." I said, feeling the need to let everything out, even if he was a complete stranger.
"Leaving? Why?" He said, chuckling.
"Ummm, it's not simple. I'm escaping from a bad place." I said, looking at him.
"Oh. Well, I'm sorry? And I hope you will be ok." His face turnt soft.
"Of course! I'll be way happier!" I said smiling.
"Have you ever been to Korea?" He asked.
"No, I've never been on an airplane that I remember experiencing."
"Ohhh... then why did you pick Korea?"
"Umm.. long story, to make it simple; I placed a map on my wall, threw a dart at it and it landed on Seoul, South Korea, so here we are."
"Wow, interesting." He said, laughing.
"Yeah, I'm really weird. Are you from Korea?"
"Yeah, I was in the U.S for a dance convention they had."
"Oooooh! You dance?!"
"Yeah, not really good though."
"I'm sure you are, I mean, you came all this way to a convention, so you must be dedicated to it."
"Well, I guess."
"Yeah..."
"So, you are permanently moving to Korea?"
"Yeah, I am."
"Seoul?"
"Yep."
"Cool. This is weird... but I would enjoy showing you around."
"Ohhh, well I have no friends, no one I know lives there, so I'll take up on the offer." I smiled.
"Jungkook."
"I'm y/n."
