I opened my laptop, typing in *Delta.com*, the only airline website that could come to mind.

Looked like the cheapest plane ticket to Seoul from LAX was $698.70, and it'll have to do, I only have 1.5k in my savings, but getting away was needed.
This was the money I had saved from my allowance since before my dad had passed. I believe my father left money to my name, but my mom and step-father kept it a secret. I know I have more money to my name they know about, but I'm not gonna fight them for it, nor beg for it, it would be a waste of time and I know they would beat me if I did anything, or mentioned anything about money my dad left. I took out my credit card I had recently gone to the bank and got, considering I had just turnt 18 and was finally able to do things without my mothers consent. I also had gotten my passport renewed. I hadn't had a working passport in 6 years, because my mom never wanted me to get one. She knew that if I had one it would be easier for me to flee, so she hid it and never allowed me to renew it after it had expired, but that was all fixed now because I am an adult with no one to rely on, and that's perfectly fine.

I quickly filled in all of my information, anxiety taking over as I tapped my foot on the floor, sitting on the bottom edge of my bed biting my nails, waiting for the credit card to be approved,

*APPROVED*

I wanted to shout a big "YES!!!" right, then, and there, but didn't because I didn't want them to find out and open my door just to slap me and beat me more. So, I just simply smiled widely, laying back, running my hands through my hair as I let the realization hit me that I was actually going to escape this hell hole and move far away.

I sat back up, taking a look at my laptop screen. 'Flight from LAX to SEL, 8:30am March 28th.' , I smiled even more. I looked over at my phone, turning on the screen, taking a look at the time, 12:40am, wow, already? I got up more to my bed, taking in the thought that this was going to be the last night in this bed, the only comfy place you could relax in this trash house.

*5:40am*

I shot my eyes open, sitting up quickly to find myself in the same clothes I remembered falling asleep in.

I didn't have much time left for my flight, knowing this I quickly rushed out of bed, getting all my stuff I was going to travel with, taking a look in the mirror, fixing my hair, dashing to my phone and getting an UBER.

I quickly double checked everything making sure everything was with me, and it all was. I headed to my door, opening it as slowly and quietly as possible, making sure to make no noise. As I headed out of my room, I looked around the hall making sure my mom's room door was closed, and it was. I quickly, yet quietly ran to the front door, opening it.

I relaxed as I finally felt the outside air hit my face, jumping around silently. Wow. That was smoother than I thought, this world wanted me out of there. My UBER eventually showed up after what felt like a minute, even though it was way longer, I guess the excitement made everything feel faster.

I relaxed even more as I felt the UBER start to move down the road. I put in a earbud, just in case the UBER driver wanted to ask something, which he didn't do. On the drive there, I placed my arm on the window edge, taking a look at the road, the music hitting me, a tear dashed out of my eye unexpectedly. No, the tear wasn't of sadness, it was of happiness, happiness knowing I was finally going to get let out of this cage, this place where all I was, was abused. I quickly wiped the tear away, realizing we were finally there, LAX. I breathed in and out, opening my door, the UBER driver following my actions. I headed to the back, the UBER driver opening the trunk, collecting my things out of the trunk.

"Thank you." I said, looking at him smiling.

"No problem. Have a safe flight." He responded with a warm smile, signaling me towards the airport.

"I will, bye." I waved him off, walking towards the entrance.

The moment I walked in I was hit by the sudden brightness of the lights in the airport, people running around, chaos everywhere. I headed to the "Delta airlines" check in area, using the touch screen ticket printer, as they called it. After a while, I finally got the plane ticket out, heading towards the bag check in, placing my bigger luggage bag onto the weight scale. I hadn't planned on bringing luggage at all, just a backpack, but during the night I had gotten up, realizing that I needed a lot of clothes and the small backpack wasn't going to do, so I got luggage bags I had storred in my closet since before my dad passed as well.

I then, headed towards the security, taking off my shoes, jewelry, belt and getting my phone out of my pocket, placing it all into a small container that would go through an x-ray scanner. The idea of airport security scared me, it just all felt so intimidating, even if I had nothing suspicious. I walked through the big scanner, which was when I was asked to place my hands above my head and step on the yellow imprint of feet in the center of the big cylinder shaped scanner. I passed through the security, collecting my things, placing my shoes, jewelry and belt on, grabbing my phone, checking the time, reading 6:56am, wow, I was early. I walked through the back part of the airport, looking for the gate number "KE12", finally finding it, I took a seat, looking around seeing people eat. Suddenly, I felt my stomach growling, so I looked around, trying to see what food I could get and looked like the nearest place was the classic, McDonalds. I walked there, ordering a Biscuit and a hash-brown, collecting my food, heading back to the gate, just to find that all the seats were taken and while I was gone the gate had gotten packed and more chaotic.

I gave the attendant my ticket, after waiting in the line to board the plane, allowing her to scan my ticket, so I could finally get in this plane and leave everything behind. Finally, I was finding myself walking through the plane aisles, looking for my seat, which was located near the middle of the plane. When I got there, I was disappointed to see a good looking dude sitting on the window seat. I was disappointed because I wanted to sit on the window seat, getting to see the view from above, so I built up all the courage I had,

"Excuse me, may I sit by the window?" I asked, sounding the nicest I could.

"Yeah, here." He turned around, allowing me to see more of his facial features, and wow was he gorgeous, his voice smooth and quiet.

"Thanks." I told him, allowing him to stand up and walk to the aisle, giving me space to walk to the seat.

I was finally on my way to happiness, on my way to my new beggining.
