I felt the bullet,
Pierce right through
My smiled dropped,
And my breath halted.
I looked down at my chest,
Where blood began to soak
through my shirt
I brought a hand to the gun,
Then wrapped my fingers around it,
And yanked it from his grip.
I turned it around
And pointed it at him

BANG

it was all I could do
Before my knees gave out,
My body hitting the floor,
The blood pooling out onto the tile.
I felt a sickening thump
As he fell beside me,
A bloody hole in his head.
I heard shouts echo down the hall,
The police.
Their footsteps became louder,
And louder
As my vision grew darker,
And darker.
I sighed one last breath,
And everything fell silent.

I felt the waves of the sea
Flow over my legs
Washing away
The person I had become
I was on my knees
The sand digging into my skin
The remaining rays of the sun
Shone in my eyes as they disappeared
Behind the horizon
Signaling the day was gone,
Over.
And I knew
That I wouldn't see it,
But for them,
Tomorrow was sure to come.
Tomorrow was

Sure

To

Come
