"Oh Tikki! There hasn't been any akuma attacks this week." Marinette kept on complaining how there hasn't been akumas lately and how she wanted to see Chat Noir. "But Marinette, isn't that a good thing?" Tikki always knew how crazy she was over Chat Noir, but it was never this bad. "I know! But, ugh." Over the past week Marinette plastered his face around her room, even her mom Sabine was starting to get a bit concerned.

"Anyways, never mind about that. I have-" checks phone, "ONLY 5 MINUTES TO TURN MY DESIGNS IN! Quick Tikki!" She motioned for Tikki to go inside her bag. And off Marinette went hurrying with her sketch pad and designs.
Luckily Marinette was just in time to turn in her designs when she ran into Adrien. "Adrien? I didn't know you were entering for the Design and Arts competition." "O-Oh um I'm not, I was just staying here some extra time, finishing my school work" he said a bit awkwardly. And there was such a moment of awkwardness and silence between the two. "Anyways" said Marinette breaking the silence "I should go, I still need to finish my homework and help in the bakery!"
Marinette turned around and started heading off when Adrien discreetly put the letter in her bag. He sigh of relief, proud of himself for making a bold move like that. _________________________________________ "Oh hi Marinette, it's good your back because I need help. Would you mind waiting here until Lila Rossi comes and picks up her cake?" "LILA? COMING HERE?" "Please Mari, I need to make a few errands and your dad's out buying flour." "O-Oka-." "Thank you Mari!" and Sabine was off.
"Ugh, can you believe it Tikki? Lila coming here! Hopefully she comes by quick!" "Oh Marinette, I do wonder why she makes up all those lies and everyone still believes her!" Tikki chuckled. "Yup, in the meantime I'll get started on my school work." Marinette gently took out all her schoolbooks, not noticing the letter with a heart sticker had fell on the floor. For a few minutes or so she continued reading Beauty and the Beast, since she was due to reading it and then making a summary for her English Arts class. She looked up, hearing the bell chime which came from the door.
"Ugh, it's you Dupain-Cheng" Lila said disgustingly. "Well you know I'm not happy to be here with you, so let me just give you your cake and you can be OUT!" That even surprised Lila a bit. She took a seat in one of the chairs for the clients and noticed the letter which caught her attention. While Mari was over in the back getting the cake that said "Bon Anniversaire!" Lila picked up the letter and put it in her bag. "Here you go, that'll be 25 dollars." Instead of Lila just giving her a twenty and a five dollar bill, she gave her forty. "Don't worry Marinette keep the change, I do hope we can start over with no more lies, I swear!" Before Mari could react she took off with the mysterious letter from Adrien, her cake, and a grin on her face.
