"Dude it's been almost two months " what are you planning on doing hunter asks

"What do you mean?" I ask

"With the girl dumbass you can't keep her here forever" he furrows his brows

"I know that I just I can't let her go just yet" I tell him

"Why not?" He presses

"I just can't okay stay out of it" I snap and walk into my room slamming my door

"Joey can we watch a movie" I hear Maliyah say as she knocks on the door locking her head round

"Sure" I nod

"You coming" she asks opening the door fully

"Can we just watch it in here" I ask

"Okay" she said closing the door and coming to sit beside me

She's finally warming up to me,I mean she gets mad at me from time to time but that's cause I'm an ass

"What do you wanna watch" I ask

Flicking through the movies on Netflix

"Oh can we watch to all the boys I've loved before" she smiles

"Really?" I asks

"Please we can watch one you wanna watch after" she pouts

"Okay" I sigh pressing play

The movie starts and she lays down getting comfy,so do I

We get to end and I can see Maliyah crying and smiling at the same time I look over at her smiling

"What" she laughs whiling her tears

"Nothing" I shake my head

"It's cute okay" she laughs sniffing

"How" I laugh

"Cause they fell in love and didn't even knowing it"she sniffs

"Okay now my turn and you ain't gone cry at this movie" I laugh changing the subject

"Have you ever been in love?" She asks, catching me off guard

"Uh yeah" I look away

"Was it romantic"she asks sitting up

"No"

"Love always has some romance joey" she says confused

"Not with me"I say blankly

"Oh okay" she looks down at her hands

"What about you" i say

"What about me" she asks

"Have you ever been in love" I ask

"I don't know I mean I guess" she shrugs

"You guess" I ask

"Yeah my ex but I'm not sure" she sighs

"Why" he ask

"A lot happened" she looks up at me

"Can you just out the movie on" she looks away

"Yeah" I nod pressing okay

We get half we through the movie and Maliyah is basically on top on me she's sitting that close

"Why did you have to pick a scary one" she sighs

"Cause it's good" I smile

"No it's scary now I feel like somethings going to come and attack me" she said moving in closer

"Come here" I say moving her in between my legs

"Feel safe now" I ask

"A little" she shrugs

I pull the blanket over us

"Better" I ask

"Better" she nods

We sit and continue watching the movie

Something jumps out and Maliyah grabs onto my hands

"No no no" she shakes her head

"It's okay" I laugh

"Something els is gonna jump out and I'm gonna scream" she said holding on tighter

"It's not" I lie

A few minutes later something els jumps out

"Ahh joey I told you" she screams then turns to look at me

I just look at her and admire her features

"What do I have something on my face" she asks confused

"No I uh just zoned out" I lie

"Aw" She said getting up

"Where are you going it's not done yet" I ask

"I've been scared enough and I need to pee" she laughs

Maybe I need to stop spending to much time alone with her cause she's doing things to me
