Chapter 6: The Career Counseling

Third Person's POV

12:30PM FRI

With a soft pop music playing, the sound of the drill boring a hole through the wood was resonating around the room. The wind was blowing through the balcony door and the black curtain was swaying with it.

Shiro, who is laid on her back under her bed, and wearing some protective glasses on, was drilling some holes under bed. She was humming along the music and ignoring the dropping sweat from her forehead and neck.

It was past lunch time already but she doesn't seem to care since she is so indulged in her work.

After drilling about three holes, she started attaching some secret compartments for her things- Like Guns and files- and tightened them with a screw. She crawled out under the bed and made a sigh as her sweat trickled down to from her neck to her shoulders.

She took off her sweater half an hour ago since she's feeling a little hot even though the holiday breeze is blowing in her room. Now she's left in her white sleeveless tank top and blue shorts.

She stood up from the floor while removing the protective glasses and looked around her room. She already placed some Micro cameras around her room and some to her balcony, and some gun compartment under her bed and behind her nightstand. Some daggers just between her study table and Bookshelf. She then made a secret vault under her Computer desktop table which is now covered with a black carpet.

Shiro then placed all her tools and equipments back in the toolboxes and placed them all under her bed. She sat on her study table and took a deep breath of relief.

"Finally, it's done. Next up, oustide the house..." she stated making a mental checklist.

A moment later, her phone buzzed making her looked at it and stop the music. She placed her earpiece on and answered the call.

"Hello? Shiro?"

"Masaomi-nii?"

"Yeah, It's me. Are you free right now?"

"Uh yeah. It's my day off so I got nothing to do today..." she answered as she took a towel from her closet and wipe her sweat off and tied her hair into a ponytail.

"Great. Would you mind being Ema and Yuusuke's guardian for today? They asked me to come but it seems like I won't be able to make it since there's an emergency..."

"I wouldn't mind. But why? Did something happened?" Shiro asked worriedly as she sat on her bed.

"No, No. There's nothing wrong. It's their career counseling. Anyway, I need to go. The counseling starts at 1pm by the way. Take care..."

"Sure, Take care too."

Then she hung up.

"Career counseling huh? Is this why Ema look so guilty this morning since she thought I would be busy?" she asked herself and a small smile suddenly graced her lips.

She removed her earpiece and placed it beside her phone and looked at the time.

"12:29. I still have few minutes to prepare..."

She then went to her closet again and pulled out some clothes and placed it over her bed. She went to the bathroom and washed her face and back to the bedroom to change into her clothes.

She wore a pair of black faded jeans paired with a white button up longsleeve and black blazer. As for her shoes, she wore a pair of black heels. She then combed her black hair and applied lightpink lipgloss and light blush on.

She then picked up her phone and placed it inside her purse and then she wore her earpiece on. Since she's just going to Hinode high, Shiro decided not to bring a gun with her. She went out of her room with her purse slung on her left shoulder and her keys and black shades on her hand.
