Book One: The Demons Below Your House

Chapter Eleven:

Issabella's P.O.V.

I fluttered my eyes open. I sat up. I looked over at the alarm clock. It was 10:00 a.m. I stretched my arms out and yawned. I looked around. Where was Kyle? Kyle walked out of the bathroom with just a towel hanging off his hips and he was biting an apple. "Um....." I said uncomfortably. "What?" Kyle said. "I'm air drying." "Um......why?" I said. "Because it's how I roll." Kyle said. "Ok then." I said. Justin woke up. He saw Kyle and he screamed, rolled and fell of the bed. Thud! That was him hitting the floor. "You guys act like you have never seen a body before." Kyle said. "Because we haven't" I said. "Oh." Kyle said. I crawled over to the side of the bed and peeked over the edge to see if Justin was ok. "You ok?" I asked. "I'm fine." Justin said as he got up and sat on the bed.

"Where is Eva?" I asked. "She left before the house collapsed. She looked upset. But before I could say anything she left without saying anything. There was something fishy going on. I just had a feeling." Justin said. "Do you think she was forced into going wherever she was going?" I asked with worry in my eyes. "Maybe." Kyle said. The phone rang. I picked it up. "Hello? You are speaking to Issabella. May I ask who is calling?" I said. "Yes my dear.....it's me......your dad......the devil." He said. I just held the phone in my hand not saying anything. "Who is it?" Kyle asked. "It's the devil." I said. "What do you want?" I asked. "I want you....but before you say no I want you to consider the fact that I have your friend.....Eva. Thanks to your brother." He said. "They have Eva." I said. "What!?" Justin said not believing what I just said. Kyle said,"We can't make a deal with him....she's probably dead for all we know!" Kyle said. "Prove to me that she's not dead....I wanna hear her voice." I said. "Ok then." He said. "Hello!" Eva said in a scared voice. "Eva!" I said. "You need to come and get me! If you don't they are gonna kill me." She said emphasizing the k when she said kill. "We will be right there Eva!" I said. "So....you will be here?" He said. "Yes. Just don't touch her." I said. "Ok. As long as you get here in exactly 15 hours. But you have to try to kill my army first to get to me. Bye bye then. See you til' then." He said before he hung up. I hung up the phone.

"What does he want?" Kyle said. "He wants me. And he said get there in exactly 15 hours. But I am gonna have to kill his army first to get to him. I agreed for him to have me if he keeps Eva alive." I said. "And why would you do that?! This is the devil we are talking about! You can't make deals with him and think he is gonna keep that deal! He's the devil!" Kyle said.

"Yeah. I know. That's why we are gonna bring some deadly weapons to the party." I said. "You can't kill the devil with just weapons." Kyle said. "She means herself." Justin said thinking he figured it out. "Actually I meant all of all us. We can all work together to fight the army and the devil." I said. "Oh. I didn't think of that. But the devil never dies. Did you forget that or something?" Kyle said. "But what if there was a way just to scare him enough so that he will leave us alone." I said. Kyle laughed before he said, "Nothing scares the devil." "Well....there just has to be a way." I said. "Yeah. We just show up in front of the devil and be all like,"Let's be peaceful!" Yeah that is really gonna work. He is the devil. Evil is in his name." Justin said. "We will figure out something. Just think on the positive side. We are gonna save the world and the mortality kind." I said. "Thinking of the negative side, we are gonna die doing it. Sounds really positive right?" Kyle said. "Not really. It sounds......bad and good at the same time." Justin said. "Well.....I can think of something." I said. "Well think fast. We don't have much time." Kyle said. "I'm gonna go get a snack from the vending machine. See you guys. Bye." Justin said as he left out the door.
