chapter 4

Following Lucy

Lucy jumped up her back aching from falling asleep on the desk in an awkward position, she cursed under her breathe standing up and brushing her teeth. She paused looking in the mirror, she felt like she was older then she was. She gasped how could she have forgotten, she didn't have a clue where she was. She rinsed her mouth running out back into the room, she looked around running over to the door. She pulled on the knob with no success, she felt her stomach tighten as she realised she couldn't get out. She fell back in shock after trying to force the door open with no luck. She panted wiping the sweat off her face.

S-Shit. How long had she been here? She ran over to her desk looking through the notebook, her eyes widened as she saw the date on the first page where she had written her song, it had even 3 years.

W-What.. this must b-be a mistake. She jumped the doorknob slowing turning behind her. She ran back hiding behind the closet trying to control her breathing.

Lucy Heartfilia! A loud male voice yelled, Lucy shook in fear still hiding,

WE ARE HERE TO SAVE YOU! THIS IS THE POLICE! She felt her body moving on its own, she came out from behind the closet shaking like crazy. She felt like she was going to faint, a women also wearing a police uniform helped her as she fell over, her eyes shut as they helped her up. Someone get the nurse.

Third Person

The nurses gasped as they stared at Lucy's hand,

She's apart of Fairy Tail! One yelled to the other, the other ran over in shock. That can't be possible! When she went missing she was 13 it's her 16th this year, if she was apart of Fairy Tail she would've gotten her mark this year. That means she'll have powers.. The police ran over once a nurse confirmed the news that she was born into Fairy Tail,

That must be why those scums kidnapped her, they must've found out she'd have some kind of power and want to use it for their own benefit. Lucy heard it all, apart of Fairy Tail? There had to be a mistake, she did know she may have inherited something from her mother but being born a Fairy? That couldn't be possible, Fairy Tail's members were confident and courageous, she was the exact opposite, weak and useless. 

Y-You've g-got it all w-wrong... Lucy mumbled a nurse running over to her, the nurse sighed holding up Lucy's hand to reveal the mark to the blonde. Lucy was in shock as she saw the pink mark, how could she have not seen it before? An officer pulled over the nurse explaining how Lucy missed around 3 years from the drug the criminals put inside her. Lucy could finally walk, she sat in the hospital looking around, no one was there to visit. Anyway who would want to visit her? It's not like she had any family let alone friends.. She sighed being greeted by a police officer.

I have some news and since you're in decent health we can reveal it to you. Lucy nodded listening. When you first were put into that room you were 13 years old, you remember that correct? The police asked unsure of how to handle her condition. Yes.. Lucy cautiously answered, Once you fell asleep they injected a drug that put you into a coma for exactly 3 years, that would still cause age, but once you woke up you'd be the right age to have your mark revealed. The criminals kidnapped 6 children aged 13 in hopes at least one of them would be in Fairy Tail so they could use you to their own advantage.

Lucy looked shocked, 6 other children? Most likely all with parents who cared, instead them being taken away. She was different her dad kicked her out for his own happiness, he would've probably been glad when he realised I was gone. Your father is planning on visiting in 3 days, Lucy glared at the officer. Get me the hell out of her within the next 3 days, I don't want to see that man. The officer hesitantly nodded exiting the room.

Lucy sighed getting out bed, glancing at her mark. She couldn't help but smile, it was every child's dream that once they turned 16 they'd be given the mark. But of all people why Lucy? She missed 3 years of her life, should she be glad? Should she be mad at those men for stealing so much of a child's childhood? She didn't know. She opened the desk beside her bed revealing the notebook, she flipped through the pages finding the song she wrote when she was first put in that place, she hummed the lyrics.

You'll be sent to Fairy Tail High once you are fully recovered and out of the hospital. Your name is already enrolled and the confirmation slips have come in. Lucy's eyes widened as she stared at the nurse who stood unbothered with the clipboard in hand. 

W-What? Lucy stuttered in shock, everything was happening at a rapid pace. She even felt as though waking up in that unknown room was only just yesterday. The nurse smiled walking off, Lucy was speechless.. her, apart of Fairy Tail? The most elite school in Magnolia? Only for the gifted, hell was she gifted. Gifted with a whole lot of bad luck.
