Following Natsu

Natsu stop leaning on you're arm! It's rude! Start concentrating so you can set a good example for the student who'll be sitting beside you tomorrow! Sensei yelled in annoyance at the rebellious teenager, Natsu rolled his eyes, Wonder who that'll be. He muttered ignoring the teacher.

Natsu yawned walking out of class, his sharp hearing caught the voices of a couple of girls gossiping, he seemed interested in their chatter. Heard she missed almost 3 years of her own life! Someone murmured from across the room, Natsu thought to himself, three years?  How do you miss three years of your own life? She was trapped and drugged!

How the hell is she in Fairy Tail if she's that weak? They all giggled as Natsu walked by taking in the information. Natsu couldn't take all the rude comments he continued hearing, he felt a rage as he turned back to face the small group of girls, they were the guest students, none had the mark. Just accepted for their smarts, so they could be kicked out at any moment since they weren't actually apart of the school. If you really want to stay a guest at this school start acting like your apart of the family. You better welcome this new girl or hell I'll kick you out myself. They're eyes widened realising who was talking, THE Natsu Dragneel. They all nodded quickly in fear. He sighed walking away, he didn't even know this girl but it was so unfair of them to judge by her backstory..

Following Lucy

Lucy nodded to the driver as he helped her out with her luggage, she took a deep breath thanking the driver as she stepped forward towards the school. It really was something else she smiled slightly walking through the front gate. She looked around seeing no students, or teachers. Maybe they were all in class.. She looked around the corners trying to navigate where the office could be. She was startled to hear someone behind her,

Looking for somewhere? She turned around shocked to find a pink-haired boy around her age, his hands in his pockets staring at the ground. Lucy mumbled yes thinking he hadn't heard. You're a guest, right? She was surprised he heard, but she didn't have a clue what a guest was. A-A guest? The young boy looked up his eyes widening as he saw her, Lucy blushed noticing him staring, Lucy felt her heart race as they stared deeply into the eyes of each other. The boy broke the contact. O-Oh you're the n-new girl. Lucy nodded slightly, his eyes they were so.. she didn't know the word.

We don't really have an 'office' we're not really your typical school, more this is now your home. Lucy was unknown to how to answer, just nodding in response. Well, you'll be in the girl's apartments then I guess.. Lucy cut him off remembering she had rented out her own apartment nearby, she held out the receipt he examined it. Woah you definitely have some money up your sleeve, this is a pretty expensive place. Lucy smiled and shook her head,

I'm far from wealthy.. The boy gave a confused look, I'm Natsu by the way, he blurted to break the silence. L-Lucy. Lucy couldn't help but feel slightly comfortable around Natsu, though she only knew him for barely 2 minutes, she shook the thought out her mind. Shouldn't you be in class? Lucy questioned. Natsu chuckled, Lucy quickly realised he was skipping, she gave a quiet oh not responding.

Yeah you're probably a goodie toe shoes don't follow my footsteps, He winked. She blushed looking away. I'll take you to your room then I guess. Lucy hesitantly agreed as they began walking in the direction of her apartment. Lucy giggled as she riskily tiptoed on the edge of the deck. Hey, stop that! You might fall! Natsu scolded. She laughed getting even closer to the edge, she closed her eyes feeling the breeze fly past her face. Her eyes shot open as she missed her step, she squealed her heart beating rapidly. She quickly turned to her side, it was water, it was just like.. just like..

LUCY! Natsu held her in his grasp stopping her from falling, he panted falling to the ground along with her. Lucy controlled her breathing, sitting up staring at Natsu. He suddenly looked in extreme pain, she stared up at the sky rain dripping down rapidly,

Someone once told me I'm walking fire.. Lucy felt her heart racing, walking fire. Those words sounded so familiar. She pulled him undercover, she began panting from having to drag him over. They were right, you are walking fire.. he gave a faint smile, squinting his eyes in pain. She held his arm, Natsu. Y-your arm! She was shocked to see the scar, it looked like a burn, like the ones he was developing now, but worse.

H-How did that happen? She asked worriedly, I don't even know myself.. his tone was husky. She felt her expression fall. She faintly smiled pointing up, Natsu turned and faced what Lucy was pointing at, At least we're here!.. She gave a small laugh helping him up as they walked up the stairs on the way grabbing Lucy's apartment keys. She was astonished to see it fully furnished, that's most likely why it was so expensive. She set Natsu down on her bed, grabbing a few tissues to act like bandages. That's the best I can do I.. I'm sorry.. She looked away embarrassed unsure what else she could do.

It's fine. I'm used too it. Lucy paused hearing his words, used to it? He was clearly pained by contact with rain. Are you okay with water? She asked as she walked towards the sink to grab a cup of water.

I g-guess. He tone was unsteady like he didn't know himself. I'm fine with water but not so much when I'm.. like this. Lucy nodded trying to understand, Just get some rest I'm going to begin unpacking then I'll get some rest as well. He nodded his eyes shutting as she spoke.

Lucy wiped the sweat off her forehead walking over to her bed startled to see Natsu fast asleep on one side. How could she have forgotten?! She blushed sliding beside him as far to the edge as she could, she shut her eyes whimpering as she remembered being at the edge of the dock almost falling in. She couldn't help but scoot closer to Natsu, they had just met. Why was she so comfortable around him?..

Night Natsu... She whispered shutting her eyes.
