This is the gem hierarchy (I found it on the fan powered Wiki)
•1Diamonds are the ultimate gems, ranking above every other. There are only 4 known.
•2Sapphires are very rare and high-ranking gems, above even Agates
•3Aquamarines are another leading gem.
•4Agates are above Amethysts and order them around.
•5Topazes are bodyguards.
•6Quartzes are respected soldiers, including Jaspers and Amethysts.
•7Peridots(Back To The Barn)are technicians and seem to be slightly above pearls, but not enough to own one.
•8Pearls are handservants and can come in different qualities("And you look like a fancy one, too!")
•9Rubies(Bubbled) are common soldiers and are not high-ranking enough to own a pearl.
( this is based on personality, not birth stone. Also this may contradict my last Steven Universe chapter sorry 😐)
