Third person POV

That kiss wasn't the last kiss to be shared between Fred and Hermione. A week later she felt that she could trust Fred and immediately told him. They went on a date the same night. Fred had set up a picnic in a field not far from The Burrow with fairy lights and a range of food set out. It was the perfect date for Hermione. Two weeks later they made it official and the family was happy for them. Well, most of the family. Ronald hadn't taken the news very well and set his plan for revenge into motion. A week later it was announced that there would be a party at The Burrow as a way for everyone to reunite and for connections to be made. People like Draco Malfoy and Blaise Zabini had been invited to bond with the family and put all past disagreements to the side. The morning of the party came and Fred and Hermione were sat in their kitchen eating breakfast.

Hermione's POV

"Mia, are you nervous for tonight?" I was confused by the question, the party was tonight and I didn't have any reason to be nervous. "No, why?" "Well, tonight we announce to everyone else that we're dating. I understand if you want to back out." I sighed, he had been like this since we started dating, it was as though he thought he didn't deserve me. I stood up, walked to his side of the table and sat in his lap. "Fred, I don't want to back out. I'm ready for everyone to know about us and I'm not nervous one bit." I said as I threaded my fingers in his hair. He just looked at me and before I knew it, we were snogging as though our lives depended on it. His lips were soft and experienced as they travelled down my neck, leaving a trail of love bites as they went. His hands were gentle on my waist, holding me carefully so I didn't fall. It was perfect and was about to get more perfect. We stood and started walking to the bedroom, him leading me. He lay me down and hovered over me. Our lips about to touch. KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK "FREDDY, YOU UP?! WE NEED TO GO REMEMBER?!" Yelled George's voice through the door of the flat. We both sighed knowing we had no other choice but to get up. We arranged our clothes back into place and Fred opened the door, glaring at George. "What did I do?" George did look rather confused: he wasn't aware of what he just interrupted. "Nothing." I sighed, he doesn't need to know how close we were- that's for us to know. If only we didn't have to leave, I'd have loved to see Fred's.... body. Yeah, body. We got ready and I was wearing an emerald green dress that ended just above my knee. It was tight and showed off all my curves as well as being strapless to show off my shoulders. I really hope Fred likes this dress. Fred came out of our en suite bathroom and just stopped. Stared. "Fred, what's wrong?" He seemed to come out of a trance. "You look breathtakingly.... beautiful. No, that's too generic for you. You look breathtakingly stunning." I blushed and looked down, holding my hand out to him so we could apparate to The Burrow.

Third Person POV

The party was in full swing by the time Fred, Hermione and George made their way to the huge, white tent that was set up in the garden. In amongst the chaos of greetings, Fred and Hermione were separated and driven to opposite sides of the room before either could attempt to stay with the other. Only George knew the extent of their relationship so when Hermione looked back at Fred while Ginny was ranting, Ginny realised her friend wasn't paying attention to her and was hiding something. "Honestly, I cannot believe Ron somehow got invited..... Hermione? What are you looking at Fred for?" Hermione broke eye contact with Fred, who had also been staring back at her, and raised a quizzical eyebrow. "Ummmm.....well..... you see, we were going to make an announcement but..... Fred and I are a thing now." Ginny's squeal raised an alarm; every head turned, worried something worse had happened. All they saw, however, was Ginny jumping up and down like a psycho. Fred cast a look at Hermione who responded with an apologetic smile, he knew she told his sister and he also knew that Ginny would keep it a secret until they were ready to tell the rest of the family.
