The moment Claude Sherwood, an alpha that controls the lycanthropes of three whole states, one of the most feared strategizers, and holds an incredible amount of influence over others, announced that he needed a mate, Ashlynn Sheridan grimaced in sympathy for the poor she-wolf that would get stuck with him.
Then Ashlynn Sheridan, the only female member of a minuscule no-name pack, a 'nah' strategizer, and can't even get her stupid parakeet to respect her, shivered when she saw her pack's interest for the announcement.
Apparently she turns out to be the poor she-wolf, and unsurprisingly the whole 'arranged mating' thing doesn't go very well when you aren't each other's true mates and one member of the party barely tolerates you. At least Ashlynn's trying to make this whole thing work.
