Well, my new story. Hope you have a love for cliche alpha mates and arranged marriages/matings.

Thank you for -thirlwalls for creating the amazing cover uwu but I am now using it as a banner because I decided the other one was more to my own personality.

And thank you to HeloiseBlue for the cover turned banner turned cover! <3 This switch won't happen again I swear

Chap One.

She was not hiding, she was not. Ashlynn was just normally spending her autumn afternoon on a very thick and surprisingly sturdy branch like normal lycanthropes do. For around four hours now. Without any form of entertainment. Or food.

As a wolf.

She didn't mean to Change when she had scrambled up to her branch, but nerves got in the way and it just sorta happened. But because of that little mishap, her shredded clothes lay beneath her and she couldn't jump down from this height without breaking a bone. Though on the bright side if she did break a bone, it would heal in a week.

Breaking a bone was beginning to seem like a good option, because she definitely wasn't going to shift back and climb down the tree naked. That was just asking for splinters that would take hours to get out.

Luckily lycanthropes were blessed with a quick recovery rate due to the abnormal number of cells in their bodies. However because of their cell number, their bodies, in an attempt to keep all the cells going where they need to be and alive, made them have a faster blood flow.

Well, and because of the quick blood flow lycanthropes bled out much faster but... can't have something great without a downside.

Her faster healing abilities had come in handy when she had Changed while climbing the rough bark of the tree. After her bones began shifting and her fur begins sprouting, the flesh became more sensitive than a newborns and began splitting open because of the bark. It had hurt worse than the time she smashed her toe into a steel door, and wolves have a very high pain tolerance.

And she now had a minor fear of shifting around trees.

She wondered how her Wolf would react to shifting in the forest and suddenly Ashlynn striking fear through their hearts about some stupid, large plants. Her Wolf was actually pretty quiet now, which was odd because usually by Changing it brought the Wolf to the surface more. Maybe her Wolf was just as nervous as she and was hiding in her own way.

Ashlynn idly studied the ground below her before turning her large head around and began gnawing at the padding of her orange, wire bra that had stretched during Change and looped around her right leg and the back of her neck. It was pretty neat actually in her mind that her bra was this flexible.

When the company who made the undergarment said that it was stretchy, they sure as hell meant it. Lycanthropes were almost the size of lions, and she was a tad larger than the average she-wolf. She prided herself on her size and her fur; a tan color that had interesting brown outer hair on the back of her neck, back, and ears. But if anyone of the guys saw her now she'd be mocked for months.

Though she personally thought the bright orange bra was a nice contrast to the brown fur. It was kinda Halloween-ish, which was coming up.

This was the perfect reason why they never Changed with clothes on. They either shred or stretched, there wasn't an in between. For hours now she had been biting at the part of the bra she could barely reach, and the fabric was utterly shredded. No matter how destroyed the fabric became, she still couldn't bite it all off because of the wire.
