Fallhurst was a place where everyone knew seemingly everyone and there never seemed to be an inch of privacy but that was the way it was. It was situated in South Delaware and resembled any typical small American town. When the town was founded, there had only been a post office, a general hardware store and a diner. Yet, now there were also several cafes, an antique store, an elementary school and a high school. Most importantly, was that there were only 74 people and 21 families living in Fallhurst. To everyone living there, that was fine, perfect even.

Which brings us up to present day.

Now that's no longer the case, the two pacific lodges in Fallhurst Grove were no longer up for sale. The sign telling the population of Fallhurst had been painted for the first time in as long as anyone could remember. Fallhurst was about to experience what it would be like to have 83 people and 23 families living within its borders. Quickly and swiftly, rumours were spreading which and fast. Soon three new teen would be arriving and were creating whispers before they had even stepped foot within the halls of Harrington High School.

Amaris Moon couldn't help but hate her parents.

In fact in this very moment in time she loathed them.

She never wanted to move in the first place and she'd only given in as her best friend and partner-in-crime, Otis and his family were moving as well. As she observed the outside world barrel by, she wished she could be back in her bedroom texting Otis about her latest contemplations about her crush and sorting out their joint agenda for their day, but no, she was stuck, in the car, going to who knows where.

In the front of the car Kale Moon was wondering whether he'd made the right choice for his family. He had needed a change of scenery for a while and thought that it was time the Moon family needed one two. It seemed that this change what going to happen in Fallhurst, Delaware. A he glanced into the rear view mirror he noticed Amaris's face was set in stone, she wasn't pleased to be here. It wasn't her mouth, that always seemed to slightly curve up at the side or way she was currently resting her head on the window that it away but it was her eyes.

Amaris' eyes told her father everything.

They were the colour of a newly blossomed bluebell from the valley, delicate and enchanting. Like the flower, her gaze was never direct, preferring a shy, earthbound focus. Yet those same eyes could generate a feeling from the icy blue depth that pulled you into a lake of frozen emotions. It was as if all the myriad shades of blue had been swirled together to form a whirlpool of apprehension. He could tell by her body language that she hated, no, despised him and those flickering azure orbs confirmed his inner thoughts.

Hala Moon adored her husband, she really did, but moving them across the pond for a "change in scenery" may have just pushed the boat out a bit too far, metaphorically and literally. Behind her she had that motherly instinct that her 16-year-old daughter hated her but Hala knew that it wasn't entirely concentrated on her but largely on Kale. She knew little of Fallhurst, in fact she had never heard of it until Kale had decided to move and truthfully, that made not only feel uneasy but apprehensive and a feeling she currently shared with Amaris.

Without warning, Hedwig's theme began playing loudly on Amaris' phone altering her to the fact she had a text from none other than the only person she didn't loathe, Otis. Amaris and Otis had known each other from the moment they were born and that was due to the fact their mothers were childhood friends. Amaris could tell Otis anything and he would listen, no matter what his mood was or even the time of day, if they were about to sit down for dinner or jump off a ten-foot cliff into the sea below.

Amaris and Otis were inseparable, where one was the other was sure to be close by, which was clear to anyone who knew the two of them.

Glancing down at her phone she read the text,

" Darling, I'm currently having a heart attack and Emery is seriously making me contemplate the meaning of having a twin!"

This made Amaris giggle to herself imagining her best friend rolling his eyes at his twin brother Emery. Amaris and Emery had never really been close even though they had known each other for just as long as Amaris and Otis had been friends.

Emery Stryker had always been the one to shy away from a challenge and one to make sure he kept himself to himself and to no one else, especially Amaris, who he though was a girl with way too big of an imagination, which was surprisingly accurate.

Amaris typed back,

"Well, darling you should've taken my offer to ride with me, we could've been currently discussing our opinions on the latest fashion flaws, crocs with socks: a yay or nay!"

In the Stryker car, the blaring sound of Hedwig's theme came playing out of Otis as he received Amaris' text. It made him chuckle; both him and Amaris had been calling each other Darling from the instant they learnt the word. Otis wondered what he could say and he slowly ran his hand through the mop of soft brown curls that lay on his head, thinking of the wittiest text he could conjure up with but before he could, another text came through,

"Darling gotta go, Worst Dad of the year says we'll soon be in Fallhurst and want my 'honest opinion'!"

Otis quickly typed back,

"K Darling, see ya soon X"

Emery sat beside his brother in a huff, he was annoyed that his brother had decided to get on his nerves by explaining to the ENTIRE family the plan he and Amaris had to escape and return to England and, to be honest, if they offered he might take it up to join them. All he had done to make sure no one bothered him or tried to make friends with him had been left in the dust and he would have to build his reputation again of being the 'guy no one talks to'.
