Chapter 37

Chapter 37.

Javi's POV

"I get that you are just like the others... Just like the others who are with me to get a little bit of fame, paparazzi, money... You are just another useless bitch who I used to satisfy my needs, you are just another girl who thought I loved her"

His words were fresh in my head, I was in the middle of nowhere, a soft melody playing in the car radio but I wasn't paying attention to it, I was alone, I didn't have anyone to comfort me, Alexis was constantly travelling from Barcelona to London for an unknown reason, Laia rarely texted me or called me now, Rafaella is in the other side of the world and she is Neymar's sister, my mom has enough preocupations with Esai, Antonella is spending time with her family in Argentina, Marc is Neymar's friend... I'm alone.

After crying and thinking for almost an hour I decided to go back to my house, sweet and lonely home. The boy in the radio decided that it was a good idea to make an hour break with only songs of The Fray, I could have turn the radio off but my heart felt related to the lyrics in some way. I felt numb, I wasn't angry, or sad, or nostalgic, all I was able to do was think why... I don't know if he meant what he said but even if he didn't, he did think about it and he said it, so it was probably true.

I cuddled myself in the couch when my phone vibrated, I jumped, hoping it was Neymar but it was only a text from my brother.

"Can you come to my house tomorrow at 7.00? We can have dinner"

I sighed, now he remembered he has a sister. I typed a quick yes and turned off my phone, throwing it away and crying myself to sleep.

The Next Day ~

I woke up in yesterday's clothes, my back was hurting but I didn't pay much attention to it. I took a long shower, I spent good fifty minutes there and when I got out it was 3 PM, I sighed while dressing myself, Neymar's words refused to leave my head, I started to feel dizzy so I laid in bed and didn't notice when I fell asleep.

I woke up at 6.30, I quickly went to the bathroom, washed my face and did my make up, I took my keys and ran to the car, I don't like being late. I drove for about twenty minutes until Alexis' house (aka mansion) appeared in my view, the guards who were constantly watching the house recognized me and let me enter to the house where a man was waiting for me, I left him the keys so he could park the car while I knocked the door. No more than ten seconds passed when Laia opened the door followed by two Golden Retrievers, Atom and Humber, Alexis' dogs. I decided to greet Laia first, even if I was dying to cuddle the dogs.

"Hi" I said softly.

"Hello..." This was awkward. "Come in She smiled.

"Thank you" I said, when I stepped in I dropped my bag and knelt in front of the dogs. They licked my face threw themselves, making me fall. This was the first time I genuinely laughed in a good time.

"Having fun, eh?" Alexis said appearing.

"Hi" I smiled at him, it was impossible to be angry with him... Or that's what I thought.

"How are you?" He said helping me to get up and hugging me.

"Fine" I lied. "And you?"

"Fine. How is everything going with Neymar?" Ouch.

"I don't wanna talk about that" I mumbled and Alexis threw his hands in the air.

"Okay. Dinner's ready" He said driving me to the living.

We've been eating for about thirty minutes, we've been laughing at the memories that come in our heads, but out of nowhere the conversation became tense, Laia started shifting in her seat and Alexis cleared his throat, nothing good can come out of this.

"Javi, we have to tell you something" Alexis said sounding nervous.

"Go ahead" I said with my voice cracking a bit.

"Uhm... I, well, Laia and I... We, uhm..."

"We are moving" Laia interrupted and I frowned.

"Okay...? I don't see the big deal about moving" I said and Laia and Alexis shared a look.

"We aren't moving, are mooving" Alexis said emphasizing the O.

"I still don't get it"

"I won't be playing for Barcelona anymore" There we go.

"What?" I asked in disbelief.

"I..." Alexis sighed. "I signed for Arsenal" He said and I closed my eyes.

"Arsenal is in England, Alexis"

"I know..."

"We are moving to London" Laia said.

"Since when were you planning this?" Silence. "Tell me!"

"Since the World Cup" Alexis said avoiding my eyes.

"Since the world cup..." I repeated in disbelief, letting out a humorless laugh. "You have been planning to move to other country since about six months ago and you are telling me now?!"

"Javi please..." Laia said looking sad.

"No! Javi nothing! You've known all this time about it and you are telling me now! You both have been ignoring me all this time, when I needed you the most! You are my brother, Alexis! The only person who I thought was never going to let me down!" At this point I was crying.

"Please listen to me!" Alexis said with his eyes watering.

"No, I pass" I said wiping my eyes, grabbing my bag and starting making my way to the door.

"Javiera, don't make this more difficult please" Laia said with her big blue eyes tearing up. "We are leaving in two weeks, I don't want you to be angry with us"

"Too late" I said giving them one last look before starting driving to my house.

I don't have anyone left, everybody who I though were going to be with me until the end, failed me. I don't have nothing left in Barcelona, just memories and a broken heart.

"Javiera, what's up?" My manager said through the phone.

"I wanna leave to New York, as soon as possible"
