Just pretend you don't know me. I'm Aiko and I live in hosu Tokyo, hiho is my younger sister. She is sweet but has been diagnosed with depression. And has mental break downs a lot. So mother has to dedicate all her time to hiho. Growing up with hiho was difficult, she'd cry a lot and didn't seem to like me. Our relationship only got better after she was diagnosed with depression, I guess I felt sorry for her. But besides all of that, hiho gained lots of attention for her age, people always asked mother if she could participate in magazines, contests and even photoshoots. But mother always decline, I guess she thought hiho was too young. One day mother and father gotten into an argument, at that time I was watching sailor moon since I'm aloud to watch tv on weekends. I couldn't help but listen in!
So I paused sailor Moon and listened carefully, mother had been upset and she wanted to know why. "HIHO IS IN THE HOSPITAL AND WE DONT EVEN HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO SEE HER! WHAT IF WE LOSE HER? WHAT IF WE RUN OUT OF MONEY? WHAT WILL AIKO EAT?" I heard mother say.
I was shocked, as I looked around for hiho there was no sign of her, she really had been in the hospital.
I continue watching sailor moon trying to get my mind off what I just heard when mother opens the door and walks to the exit. "Mom where are you going?" I say
"Me and you're father are going to work, there is money on the table if you need anything, clean any mess you have" she said as she closed the door.
There I was all alone in this house, I went up to my bedroom and jumped on my bed, as I lay there I wonder what did hiho do to deserve this? I wanted to see her but couldn't. What if mom was right?
All of a sudden she was woken up by an alarm, it was time to go to school.
