Where I'm from.
I'm from lots of things I suppose.I'm from laughing so hard I can't breathe
And also crying so hard that I can't breathe.I'm from warm hugs from my mother
And cheek kisses from my father.I'm from warnings.
Stay away from men because they will hurt you.
And you can not trust anyone because even your family is out to get you.
And be sure to do well on Earth or you will rot eternally in hell.I am from over-protective discipline
From worry.I am from a closeness that I can no longer feel.
It is probably my fault.I am from steamy greens, sticky mac n cheese, and sweet sweet potato pie.
I am from my brother's approval
And the love from my little ones.I'm from many things I suppose.
So why does it feel as though I am from nothing.
