Will Byers rode his bike down Bellway Avenue, standing up as he pressed down on the peddles. Rina Davis lived on 5435 Bellway Avenue, in the cutest little neighborhood. Many houses all were sort of the same but in a variety of different shades and colors. Will turned left and saw the small beige yellow home. "5435" the address read as Will kicked the bike stand and walked up the straight steps to the front door. The house had two main bay windows with garages underneath. (The front door was located in between these two windows.) Up above the front door, a stain glass window with blossoms on it illuminated dim light. Faint music could also be heard from that one particular area. Will guessed that was probably where Rina was.

Will rang the doorbell. He heard footsteps, and then a average size woman with dark hair and blue eyes opened the burgundy door. "Hello." Will greeted. The woman smiled. "Oh you must be Will." Will nodded in response. "Well, I've heard a lot about you." The woman stepped back in to the house and hollered. "Rina! Will's here!" A soft voice was heard up the stairs. "Can Will come up  here? I'm trying to fix my skateboard!" The woman sighed, and turned to Will who was looking up the stairs but was still outside. "Please come in." Will kindly smiled and walked into the sweet-smelling home. The aroma was of chestnuts. "Rina is up the stairs in her room. It should be the second door on the left." Will grinned and thanked the woman as he began walking up the stairs and into the cramped hallway.

Will gently knocked on the open door as he rounded the corner, just enough that it would pop Rina out of focus as she fixed her skateboard. "Hey." Rina beamed as she twisted a screwdriver on the back wheel. "Hey." Will replied as he sat down next  to her on the floor. The aroma of the room smelled of lilacs. A record spun around and and around on a record player, and Will noticed the song he heard outside was "Another One Bites The Dust" by Queen. "I didn't know you ride a skateboard." Will pointed out. Rina spun the wheel, testing its durability. "Yeah? Well I do have one, and I love it way more than my bike." She chuckled. "I ride it all the time, and it broke last night. At the ramps downtown." Will nodded and looked at the boards stickers. They read"ACDC" "Queen" "Led Zeppelin" and a bunch of other grunge things. "I didn't know you were into dark things." Will observed. Rina laughed. She wasn't exactly into "dark things" she just liked rock bands, and rode a skateboard (Rina was also on the skateboarding team at Park High). This didn't necessarily make her emo. In fact, her personality is quite the opposite.

"Is that woman downstairs your mom?" Will asked as he noticed the record stopped playing. "Yep." Rina sighed, and pointed over to the record player. "Would ya go flip that for me?" Will nodded and got up to go flip the record in the record player. "I'm In Love With My Car' by Roger Taylor (another musician from Queen) began to play. "Y'know since you're staying the night, would you want to go to Scoops tomorrow morning? Or maybe the ramps?" Will sat back down next to Rina. "Yeah. They both sound nice." Mrs. Davis hollered from downstairs. "Rina! Will! dinner!" Both kids got up to wash up for dinner.

That night, Mrs. Davis made lasagna. Mr. Davis came home from work and the four of them talked about cooking, school, skateboarding, and some other topics that of course embarrassed Rina. Once dinner was all over, Rina gave Will a house tour. "This is the den where my dad sleeps in his underwear and watches "Cheers". They both giggled and ran up the stairs, as Rina's dad stirred in his sleep. Rina shut the door behind them and decided to watch a movie. They picked "Labyrinth" which was Rina's favorite movie of all time and one Will happened to enjoy too.

"Goodnight Rina." Will said as he looked up from his sleeping bag on the floor. "Goodnight Will." Rina said back she looked down from her bed. She took her long arm and flipped of the light next to her bed. Dark.
