Chapter 2

"What!?" we said in unison.

"Seems like both of you poor kids got scammed by my company."

"WHAT ABOUT MY 10,000 YEN!! I didn't pay all that to get my house taken over by some lowlife like her." Levi shouted as he slammed his hands on the table.

"LOWLIFE?! Look who's talking."

We were about to break into a fight, when Mrs. Azumibito stopped us from doing so

"ENOUGH!!"

Both of us sat down immediately before she got angrier.

"Now, tell me, how much you paid, y/n."

"10,000 yen"

The manager nodded her, and turned to Levi.

"And you?"

"10,000"

The old lady cleared her throat and said

"Well, the exact cost of this apartment is 20,000 yen in total, which means if you want the house all to yourself you'll have to pay 20,000."

"What!? That's too much, I don't have that kind of money" I said, completely in shock at hearing the cost.

"That's a lot, can't you reduce the price" Levi said trying to negotiate with the manager.

"Well if you find it too much, you can just pack your stuff and leave!!" The manager said with anger.

"Please can't you just do something about it, my parents will take me back to Shiganshina and teach me how to do handle their business." I plead with manager

"Tch, I can't believe I'm doing this, I can't go back now please let me stay, I'll do anything"

The manager thinks for a while, we sit in anticipation waiting for her answer.

"Sorry, no can do."

As I was about to say something then I thought it would be useless to argue anyway she's just gonna decline. It would be best if I just give up and go back. For a second I thought me and Levi were thinking the same thing because both of us got up and started walking towards the door with our heads hanged low with disappointment.

"Wait! I might have an idea." the manager says. We both turned around to look at the manager who was gesturing us to sit down. We both sat down at once.

"If you really want to live in this apartment you must live together, both of you could pay the rent then."

"Thank you sooooo much Mrs.—aah what did you say again" I asked the manager as I scratched my ear.

"You have to live together if u want to live in that apartment" the manager said with which the brat's expression changed into a horrified one.

"First of all my parents will never allow me to live with a stranger and a boy, they'll take me right back home, and second of all I will not live with a douchebag like him!!"

"Tch, look who's talking, brat, I'm fine with living with this brat as long as this brat keeps her nose to herself and not in my business" Levi pissed at me.

"Fine, it has been decided, both of you are gonna live together as long as either of you don't find a suitable house. Even the rent you pay sum up to the original account."

"But what about my parents, they'll never agree to this!!" I said completely horrified by the outcome of this decision.

"Well they wouldn't know about it if no one told them about it, ok? Now get outta my house."
