Chapter Fourteen

A few months later

Shayne's POV

Courtney has gotten bigger and bigger, she looks like she's about to burst. I'm so nervous yet excited to be a dad I've always wanted to feel what my dad felt

"Uhh Shayne?" Courtney asked she sounded concerned

We were watching the new Avengers movie Endgame

"Yeah" I said turning towards Courtney

Damien was sleeping in his room with his cats

"Oh my god... Courtney" the couch was soaking wet, Courtney's face was concerned

"Shayne..." she yelled, " my due date was yesterday"

"I got the bag" I said surprisingly calmly even though my girlfriend is about to be in so much pain

I got down stairs and left a note telling Damien Courtney's water broke so we left for the hospital I'll call him before it's time I just don't want him waking up not knowing were we went

I ran to the car and put the bag and the car seat in the back, then I ran inside picked up Courtney bridal stile and ran her carefully towards the passenger side door, I put her down and opened the door. She buckled herself in while I shut the door and ran to the other side of the car.

I got in and sped down the neighborhood trying not to be dangerous after all my soon to be fiancé is about to give birth, yeah I'm going to propose to her I felt like I wanted our daughter to be at our wedding so she can be happy. For right now I gave Courtney a promise ring so no one will steal my girl

Courtney's POV

you know what I've never been in such pain like this, the one thing calming me down is knowing some time tomorrow I'll have my baby girl wrapped in my arms and I'll stare into her eyes and see Shayne always.

We still haven't thought of a name since we want to see her first before we go ahead and love the hell out of her

At the hospital

Okay more pain MORE PAIN

"SHayNe!" I didn't even know I yelled that loud

The nurse shushed me as we rushed into the delivery room

"Okay mam, this will hurt we have to wait another hour or two for your baby to be a little more dilated (I think that's how it works) just please relax, we'll grab a chair for your husband-"

"Oh he's me boy-" Shayne interrupted me mid sentence

"Yes, thank you"

The nurse left the room and brought back a big cushioned chair with a pillow and blanket

Shayne thanked her and sat back into the beige chair

"Shayne why'd you say we were married?" I asked concerned thinking he proposed as I forgot

"Well look at your promise ring, it means we love each other no matter what married or not-"

I was shocked and confused "Shayne? You don't want to marry me?" I asked tearing up

"What no.... I love you so much I have to marry you"

"You scared me" I laughed

Shayne kisses my forehead and started trailing down to my belly where my princess awaits her father

"Hello beautiful" he said in a cute voice "we don't know your name yet but I'll call you princess"

I laughed since he always called her princess

After an hour the nurse popped in and out checking on me and Shayne

"Hey babe?" I asked "did you get the baby book?"

Shayne looked at me wide eyes and ran over to the big baby bag

And took out a big hard cover baby book

"This is my favorite" he said turning the cover to open the books pages

( when I was a baby my dad used to sing me "the lion sleeps tonight" it was and still is my favorite song but I'm going to use it as a book)
Shayne started reading as I felt the baby start to move a lot,
