I woke up, time for school. I began my morning routine and ate an early breakfast. Once I finished, I left my house, locking the door, and walked to school. Since I didn't want to take my car.
Once at DWMA, I went up the stairs, turned in some paperwork in to Lord Death.
It was for Excalibur. Since he would be my new weapon. Of course Dr. Stein was wondering how was I able to put up with his haughty attitude.
"It was a simple test. It was to test your patience. Not only is strength, power, stamina, smarts, and intelligence important, but patience is also important, especially with your weapon partner." I explained.
Professer nodded and gave me a pat on the shoulder.
"You really are a star student. I should let you conduct our dissecting lessons one day." Professer said.
I chuckled nervously and scratched the back of my head.
"Oh you don't have to." I said.
The bell had then rung and I went to my seat. Maka requested to get her seat changed as she sat next to me, but she was denied and grumbled over next to me. Soul was on the other side of me and Kid was in the seat next to Soul.
"How is it?" Maka said.
"How is what?" I asked.
"How is it living on the streets?" Maka asked, her voice full of pride and confidence.
"Oh it's luxurious. See, my Grandmother is wealthy. Extremely wealthy might I add, and she was just so generous to buy me a house as elegant as hers, not only that, but she got me a car as well. She also requested butlers and maids but I didn't want all of that. Though she did it anyways. So living on the streets is wonderful." I said, as a matter of factly. I showed her pictures to prove that I wasn't lying and to see the look of anguish on her face.
I never thought that seeing such frustration was so satisfying.
Maka growled and crossed her arms, looking away from me. I smirked as I beileved that I achieved something.
"Natsume, why don't you give us an example of what I just explained." Professer said.
I looked directly at him. My entire body froze.
"U-uh...sure thing." I said and smiled nervously.
Maka silently snickered and watched as I slowly went down to the table and looked at the creature.
"You said to use the smallest knife possible in order to cut and trim any edges of the creature's organs carefully and to trim and cut slowly for a clean process and also for the organ to be in it's full shape." I said and cut the outline of the heart slowly.
"Then use a small and sharp spoon, in order to scoop the organ out. In order to succeed this process, you must carefully and gently but firmly perform this action." I said and did what I said.
The heart was then free and was now wiggling in the body of the creature.
I looked at Professer Stein and saw the look of astonishment on his face.
He nodded in approval and I walked back to my seat, with a proud smile on my face.
After Class, Kid had asked if he could come over my house to study.
"Sure. I don't think I have anything else to do so why not?" I shrugged.
"Oh and Natsume, I won't talk about what happened at the dance." Kid said and that made me blush just thinking of it.
"Y-yeah. Alright. Well, here's my address, you can come around any time you'd like." I said.
"Alright then. I'll be over by 3. Is that alright with you?" Kid asked, getting closer to me.
I took a step back with a red face and a weary smile.
"Y-yeah t-that's fine!" I said, my voice going higher than expected.
"Well I'll see you then." Kid said and stood back in his original posture and turned away from me and walked away. I sighed in relief as my quick heart beat started to slow it's pace.
I then turned around and met the chest of a familiar loud mouth.
Black Star.
"Damn me and my shortness." I cursed under my breath.
"You Okay?" Black Star asked.
"Yeah yeah I'm fine. Nothing I can't handle anyways." I said and stood up.
"Oh that's a relief. I thought the radiance of a true assassin and big star such as myself, might have startled you." Black Star said.
I rolled my eyes and chuckled.
"Nah. I don't think so." I said.
After School, and training with Excalibur, I finally went home, arriving at 2:30 P.M. Lucky me, I get to straighten up before Kid gets here.
"Miss Haru, can you prepare some refreshments for our guest? Oh and Mr. Fisher, can you straighten up the house a little, make it look, ya know nice and neat." I said politely to my maid and butler.
Even though I didn't want people to serve me, they do get the job done, and quickly. They are also very very polite.
"Yes ma'am Miss Okagari." They both said in unison.
Quickly the two rushed off in different directions and began their directed tasks. I decided to shower and wash the sweat and smell off of me. Once out of he shower I picked out something to wear. Since I'd be in the house, I thought of wearing something relaxing, but formal
Cause Kid can get a little annoyed even with things I wear, and he might try to change my outfit, like last time.
I then sat down and sighed. Mr. Fisher and Miss Haru have finished their tasks and rested on their free time until I called on them again.
Soon enough, 3 o'clock sharp, a knock was heard on the door. Mr. Fisher went to get it.
"Miss Okagari! You have a guest. His name is Death the Kid." Mr. Fisher said.
"Let him in." I said.
Mr. Fisher did as told and let him in. Kid walked in and smiled at me.
"Hey Natsume. I didn't understand Professer Stein's dissection lesson today and since you did a splendid job of explaining it, I thought that you could help me study a bit." Kid said.
"Sure thing." I said.
'I thought he said he was struggling in Math?' I thought.
