Let us begin with the first fact of life. This Dunya came into existence when Allah Willed. It will end when Allah Wills. Each and every being in this Dunya—in this universe—exists and dies by Allah's decision. We humans have no control over our lives or over anyone else's life. This is all known as Qadr.
The first step to find inspiration in your life is to believe in the Will of Allah. It is essential to accept that every happiness, trouble, calamity, blessing, and reward comes when Allah wants to send it your way. You must have faith that anything you need will only come about by Allah's Will, and the only way to affect this is by praying sincerely.
Hadhrat Abu Hurairah narrates that Rasulullah ﷺ said,
"The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allâh than the weak believer, although both are good. Strive to do that which will benefit you and seek the help of Allâh, and do not feel helpless. If anything befalls you, do not say: 'If only I had done (such and such), then such and such would have happened,' rather say: 'Allâh has decreed and what He wills He does.' For 'if only' opens the door to the work of the Shaitân." (Sahih, Vol. 1, Book 1, Hadith 79)
You must pray to Allah for whatever you need in life. Trust your Creator as the ultimate owner of your life. Supplicate after each Salah and also make Du'a in every Sujood. Each time you feel the need for something, pray to Allah with complete trust that He will answer your prayers.
When calamity hits your life, do not feel alone because it is only happening through Allah's power. By believing that both happiness and tragedy come in life through Allah's plan, it will be easier for you to accept your life the way it is. Trust that everything Allah does is for a reason because He is All-Hearing, All Knowing. He knows what is in the heavens and the earth. Allah knows what is good for you and what is not. He knows the precise moment everything in your life is supposed to happen so that it brings you good in this Dunya and the Akhirah. The calamity that comes in your life is a disguise of something good.
Allah has mentioned in the Qur'an,
He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination. (25:2)
By accepting that your life is controlled by Allah alone, you won't feel hopeless when your prayers are not immediately answered. You won't opt for sinful routes to accomplish your goals. You will be able to develop patience in times of need and be grateful for all that you have.
