The Forest (Almost) Kiss

It was already past noon but we wanted to get ready. We ditched our bikes and went through the woods to the Hollywood sign. We planned to stay there until whoever we wanted to see was there. It was already about 7pm and it was starting to get dark. We all agreed that we should make camp where we were. Cody and I agreed that we should get some fire wood. Hayley was a bit scared that we were leaving her and Kayden alone but I told her that she would be fine and that Cody and I would not take long. Cody and I walked into the woods without a sound. We saw some wood on the floor and I guess you could say we both had the brilliant idea of using that wood.
"So," Cody started," I couldn't break up with Cleo today."
Silence. What was I supposed to say Why didn't you break up with your girlfriend for me? Yes, ok, I liked him but seriously I did not want to sound needy.
Thank goodness he continued,"She would not stop talking and when she finally did Chiron told me that you guys were waiting for me."
I don't know why but I started laughing...and it was not just a giggle. I was a real laugh. Like those ones when you start crying. And the funny thing is nothing funny happened.
"Why are you laughing?" He practically yelled at me.
"Because," I started," the Fates really hate you don't they?" I laughed.
"Oh shut up!" He complained like a baby.
"Awww...is the baby gonna cry?"
"No," he protested.
"Don't worry," I said stepping closer to him so we were touching a little," I like sensitive guys."
By the time I said that Cody had put all his wood under his one arm and his free hand was cupping my cheek. All I had to do was go on my tippy toes and we would have kissed, but someone calling our names brought us back to reality.
"BIANCA, CODY!" Hayley's panicked voice yelled.
Cody and I dropped our wood and ran to the sound of her voice. We found her holding Kayden and feeding him so Ambrosia.
"What in Hades happened?" Cody asked.
Hayley was out of breath but she didn't want Kayden answering," Kayden said a real prophecy!"
"WHAT!!!" Cody and I screamed at the exact same time which caused us to both blush. Hayley rolled her eyes at the two of us.
"What did he say?" Cody finally asked.
"Well...here is goes," Hayley started,
"One will loose a loved soul
Another finds truth as deep as a hole
All shall meet there godly side
And Bianca, loved ones will forever hide." She looked shaken up a little as she finished speaking.
"Wow," Cody and I said in unison again. That made us blush even more than we already were.
"Guys," Kayden said...or more like choked. Honestly we completely forgot about him lying there.
"Could you give us a minute?" Hayley asked Cody and I. We nodded, we were happy to go because we dropped all the fire wood we collected and we needed to get it back. There was a nice silence in the air as Cody and I walked. All we could hear was the wind making the trees rustle. It was actually extremely nice. But the life of a demigod is never calm  for long. A loud bark broke the silence. Cody immediately went for both his swords and I uncapped Riptide. That's when three Hellhounds came out and Cody and I knew we were dead. Until we saw her....

CLIFFHANGER. I am a fricking evil moron.😹So I know that a lot of my spelling sucks but please don't hesitate to let me know my mistakes so I can fix it. Another thing is I know that u guys know my chapters are pretty short. So let me know if u want them longer and please give me suggestions for a more interesting book. And I am really in the romance mood as you might be seeing so yeah.....and have a good life.
