Her parents were merchants, and she was left at home most of her life, watching as her parents' ship disappeared over the horizon. She was a cheerful girl, but on her ninth birthday, she was greeted with the news of her parents' murder. No-one knew who attacked the trading ship. The lone survivor was drunk when it happened, but he could've sworn the attackers were pirates. From that day on, she has been obsessed with revenge. She trained for years, and when she was fifteen, she joined the navy. A year later, while the small fleet she was assigned to was pursuing a pirate ship called the Night's Plague, the pirates turned on them and slaughtered almost the entire fleet. Under Lydia's direction, her ship escaped the pirates. After that fateful day, she captured her own ship and persuaded the crew to become pirates, but that wore off after a while, and she went searching for a new ship. From that day on, she finally had an effective way to find her parents' killers. And destroy them.
Famous lines used in rps:
"Look, I'm joining your little wonder quest here for the goods, and I want to know what I signed up for."
"I am not here for you to assess my potential. I am already a pirate and always will be. Now, are you going to tell me what I signed up for, or should I just leave now?"
"Look, in my experience, people like you usually have this figured out by now. All of my instincts are pointing to the fact that you don't seem to know what you're doing."
"You brought a dance team onboard during the night? Well, that explains the loud stomping I heard when I was trying to sleep."
"I was a captain, which is exactly the reason I am so worried about the keel, not about respect. And if this 'frigid attitude,' as you call it, makes you uneasy, then maybe you should spend more time with pirates who have actual meaningful reasons for becoming sea thieves."
"What is it with you and those knives? You married to them or something?"
"I know that you didn't join this crew for simply rum, treasure, and glory."
