By the time that the sun started seeping through the windows, onto the windowsills, and in strands lightly dancing around the room, everyone had woken up. We all sat scattered on the couches as my eyes darted around the room. The boy named Mike had went to begin cooking, while we waited we were supposed to talk about our encounters'. Eddie said he saw him by the drain pipe and Richie made a crude joke about his mom while I stared at my clasped hands in my lap. What was I s'posed to say? Oh I saw my dead little cousin who led me to his room last night and he's probably still wandering in this very house. " What about you y/n? Did you see him too?" I slowly nodded and sighed looking at my hands, when I opened my mouth to speak the words caught in my throat. " Well, get on with it" Richie placed a hand on my shoulder but Eddie slapped it away, I gave him a reassuring smile and turned back to the group. " Well, last night I woke up pretty late-" I went on with the story, the group glanced at each other but I continued.
It went on like that until the breakfast was ready, us Sharing stories. Once the eggs were done we all dispersed and ate in silence. I couldn't help but glance at the hallway every now and then, like someone was watching me. Bill finished first and sat beside me at the dinner table, his slightly dirty baseball shirt threw me off guard. "What happened to us bill." My question did the same to him as he hummed "we g-grew up, we aren't kids anymore, we h-have to deal with things people o-o-only have nightmares about." This answer seemed like it wasn't anything new for him "we were carefree, dumb little idiots who played in the quarry all day and built dams. Why us?" He only shook his head this time, and looked at the group of kids lounging on the couches and playing around "that's what w-we ask ourselves every day y/n, w-we didn't think i-i-it would come back so s-oon-" that sent a sense of pain over me, and he saw it in my eyes "i-i didn't mean that y-y-you caused it y-y/n." At that moment i had enough and stood from the table "bill, come talk to me when you can get my n-name out of your mouth without s-s-stuttering it!" I didn't mean to lash out like that, knowing I would stutter too when I yelled. I pushed past the red headed girl and went to Georgie's room, with no where else to go of course, so I turned on the little lamp and locked the door. I breathed in the smell of Georgie's room and sat on the bed, looking on the coat hanger and still it wasn't there. I sighed and closed my eyes, relief and slumber took over my body, flooding it with images of the adventures to come.
