louis gets really emotional around his fourth month. he's getting bigger, his jeans don't fit anymore, and neither do ninety percent of his shoes. he hates it.

harry presses a kiss to louis' lips. "'m going to the store, baby. you wanna stay here?"

louis begins to panic. he's needy today (and extra emotional for some reason) and he's pretty sure he'll die if he's without harry for more than ten minutes. "no, no, no." he murmurs over and over again. "no, i have to come with you."

"alright, love." harry laughs. "you ready?"

louis nods, and pulls down the shirt he's wearing (he's living in a fantasy that the baby isn't doing anything to his waistline and he can wear the same shirts).

"you need new shirts." harry says. he pats louis' belly, making him shrink back away from his touch.

"no, they're fine." louis insists.

harry laughs. "s'not a big deal, love. new shirts'll be a good thing. you'll feel more comfortable."

louis huffs.

"alright, you need your slides?" (they're all that fit on his feet really ((he doesn't particularly like wearing them, but he doesn't want new shoes. he doesn't want to be pregnant))).

"yes." he whispers.

harry grabs them and a pair of socks and louis leans over the swell of his tummy to pull them on.

"ready." he murmurs.

harry helps him up, presses a kiss to his head, and takes his hand, as they head out of the little house. "you have an appointment next week, baby."

louis nods. "yeah. the one where she might be able to see the gender."

"yeah." harry says. "are you excited?"

"sure." he mumbles.

harry sighs.

louis pouts, and squeezes harry's hand. "i... i am. i... just nervous." he's lying. he's not nervous, he doesn't want a baby. he doesn't want a baby, and he's getting one.

harry smiles. "okay... i am, too."

louis knows. harry wakes him up at night to ask him if he's okay. harry barely lets louis walk down the stairs by himself. harry is a nervous wreck about this kid, and its not even close to being born.

harry helps louis in the car, and then gets on his side. louis reads some of his book (or he tries, at least. he used to do just fine reading in the car - it makes him nauseous now), and harry drives, listening to the radio.

"lou..." he murmurs suddenly.

louis jumps a little, and hums in response.

"can we talk about names?"

louis presses his lips together. "uh... yeah, sure."

harry smiles. "okay. um... book baby?"

louis nods. "yes."

"okay. so... do you have any in mind?"

louis does, actually. he's been thinking about names since harry said yes to the book baby idea, playing with them and putting them together to see what sounds right. "um, yeah. i do... they're mainly, er... boy names."

"alright. share."

"okay." louis says, quietly. "um, well... like... adam... from if i stay. uh, percy... from the lightning thief. augustus - the fault in our stars..." he looks down. "um, i like percy. percy alexander, maybe... they don't really says his middle name, but... i think that sounds alright."
