CHAPTER FOUR

"Tae, have you seen Jimin?" Taehyung placed a phone on his right ears, using his shoulder to hold it as he spoke.

"Uhm, no? He shift had ended since yesterni— Wait, hyung, Jimin isn't home yet?!" Taehyung gasped, he placed all the empty dishes on the sink as he grabbed the phone, now holding it with his hand.

"He wasn't at a work?! I-I thought he took a double shift again like before—" The man on the other line gasped.

"I-I oh— my God! No way! Seokjin-hyung, I think we have to go to the police now!"

"Don't you think we are overreacting, Tae? Maybe Jimin had a sleepover at somewhere else." Taehyung shook his head furiously, looking at the taller in disbelieve.

"Sleepover where exactly?" He hissed between his gritted teeth. Seokjin quickly shifted his gaze toward the floor, Jimin has no friend other than him as his roommate and also Taehyung as his co-worker. He had lost contact with his old high school friend ever since that day.

"We have to go to the police now, I really have this bad feeling hyung, really bad." Taehyung said as he took off his apron and excused himself to his other colleague who took the morning shift after him. Seokjin who just arrived at Taehyung working place, followed him after.

"Please, Tae. I just hope your guts weren't true. Jimin. Oh my God... that poor kid." Seokjin murmured incoherently toward himself as Taehyung waved his hand to stop a cab.

In twenty minutes, the two males already arrived in front of the police station. They entered the building in such hurry. Taehyung was yelling desperately as Seokjin held him tight.

"I-I think my friend was kidnapped!"

"Please, sit down, Mr...?"

"Kim Seokjin and this is my friend, Kim Taehyung." The Officer placed two cup of water in front of them. Taehyung wasn't even paying attention as his eyes didn't stop wandering around.

"Where did the last time you see him?" Taehyung immediately snapped his head toward the male officer in front of him.

"Yesterday, it was almost midnight when his shift over. Oh Jesus, I should have insisted to bring him home!" He ran his fingers frustratedly over his hair.

"Tae, it's not your fa—"

"It is!" The younger cut him off.

"Please, calm down, Taehyung-ssi. We wouldn't get anywhere with you panicking like this. So please, continue your story." The Officer said as he clicked his pen.

"Are you sure your friend didn't go elsewhere? Perhaps his other friends?"

"No! It was already late at night, sir. Where else he would go?!" Taehyung insisted as he gripped on the desk in front of him. Seokjin who sat beside him, only able to stare without muttering a single word.
