An Escapade or a Relationship? Hmm...

"You know we can go out right?" Quartz said, breaking the silence.

Velvet looked at him with wide eyes, staring at him in disbelief

"What? What are you looking at?"

"Then do you mean we can go out?" Velvet asked

"Yeah! We don't need their permission!" Quartz said cheerfully

Velvet stared at the blank space for awhile, mouth slightly opened and thought

Wow... just wow... I can't believe he's that bold. Us? Going out? Especially without father's consent, gosh he would kill me. Then papa would find out that we're dating and then everything would be so complicated...

"Velvet?"

"Vellllllveeeeet"

"Hello?"

Quartz however looked shocked by her reaction.

"Come on, it's not like it's your first time escaping right? I mean we went to the market amd stuff..." Quartz continued

Oh...

"Oh... like you mean go out?" Velvet said while pointing at the secret door underneath the hedge that leads to the back of the castle.

"Yeah... going out" Quartz agreed "Wait... what kind of going out we're you thinking of?" Quartz continued with a smirk

Velvet turned red and nervously said "No... nothing"

I don't know what it is but he's teasing me...

Quartz went ahead to the secret door and looked back. "What? You don't wanna?"

"Psh... I want to just go first." Velvet replied

But Quartz didn't continue walking, he waited for Velvet and gave her his hand.

If I accept this hand then, am I prepared for what's yet to come?  Velvet thought

Velvet looked at Quartz who gave her a You coming or what? Type of face. Velvet hesitated at first but just gave in and grabbed Quartz' hand and let him lead the way.

This will be a roller coaster of emotions, I'm sure...

They finally arrived to their destination, the market near the center of the town. Quartz is still holding Velvet's hands walking towards a shop.

"Where are you taking me?" Velvet asked

"You'll see" he answered with a smirk on his face

Quartz took Velvet to a shop that sells accessories and flowers. They went inside a beautifully decorated shop with different kinds of flowers, and jewelry. It smelled like very sweet peaches and a hint of old wood. A plump old woman who was wearing a floral dress and gardening boots.

"Oh, back again Levi?" the shop owner said "I was just planting orchids please don't mind the gardening boots boy." The woman said

"Hello Mrs. Darcy." Quartz replied "Oh, I see the hydrangeas are sold out, I thought you would plant more of them, they were doing so well."

Mrs. Darcy gave a chuckle "You observe well Levi, they also requested for some orchids so I planted some while I'm at it"

Quartz looked pleased with Mrs. Darcy's business, Velvet however, looked back and forth to Quartz and Mrs. Darcy, looking very confused.

"Who the hell is Levi?" Velvet said in a confused and annoyed tone

Quartz ignored Velvet and smiled at Mrs. Darcy, pretending he didn't hear her.
