He did not know what made him to take the drastic decision but he was unable to see tears on her eyes he also noticed the wounds inflicted upon her by her aunt, to shut everyone from further questioning he himself married gauri
Another feather in the cap was to take revenge on gauri and him the aunty and uncle drugged their food the following night during their stay im their home as part of rituals
Om under the drug effect consummated his relationship with gauri
Om was unable to get over his guilt because one gauri was mentally challenged and he had married her without her consent and other he had consummated his relationship with her
From one of the villagers he came to know that gauri was barely 18 years old while he himself was 33 which made him no less than a monster to have consummated the relationship with a child even if it was under the drug effect
For him when he married gauri he intended to keep her safe from the evils of the world try to make her a normal person again as she was earlier but consummation was never his intention
