Naruto leaned out his window and then jumped out, before he fell too far though he stuck his feet to the side of the wall and applied chakra, sliding down the wall easily.

Then he took off in a dead run. He pulled at his chakra, trying to activate the powers the Sage claimed he had.

There was his chakra in his stomach, but there was something else, too. Something hot, and very bright inside him. His heart was like a beacon of light in the darkness. The light was warm, and gave him a feeling he couldnt describe.

Then he reached for it.

The shockwave kicked up a massive cloud of dust and blee the street apart at his feet. Naruto was sent soaring through the air and into the side of a building roughly.

The impact took out a small section of the wall and left Naruto on the ground, groaning in pain.

Kakashi stood perched on a building a few dozen yards away, watching with interest as Naruto picked himself up. Naruto looked strange.

His hair was wild and his eyes had turned bright fiery orange with even brighter yellow pupils.

Naruto clenched his fists and released the energy. He wasnt ready yet...

"Oh Itachi. Kurenai... hold off a moment." Minato said, getting a nod from the two ninja.

As the rest of the jonin left, Minato crossed his fingers. "I've a mission for both of you. Kurenai, what I am going to disclose is an S-class secret. I trust I have your discretion."

Kurenai bowed momentarily, "Of course, Hokage-sama."

Minato stood and walked over to the window. "Shisui has gone missing... and after the reports I've received from him, I believe either Fugaku or my adviser Danzo are involved."

He cut his piercing blue eyes to Itachi. "I want you to continue the investigation where he left off. Do you have anything to add, Itachi?"

Itachi nodded, "Father told me there will be a meeting to discuss the future of the Uchiha. I assumed he wanted me to go for the Hokage position."

"Go to that meeting. Gather information, but do not give yourself away under any circumstances." He turned to Kurenai, "The mission you're going on tomorrow will have Sasuke and Karah on it as backup."

Kurenai nodded, albeit stiffly, "May I ask why?"

Minato crossed his arms, "Dont make a habit of questioning me, jonin Kurenai. If you really need to know, just know that I do not trust the man who requested the mission."

Itach raised an eyebrow, "And Naruto?"

"I'll assign him to the border. Its relatively safe and he shouldn't see anything too dangerous. He'll be on a team with Might Guy and a few older genin." Hopefully, the time away from danger will allow Karah to pass him again. Minato thought.

Itachi, being no ones fool, immediately understood. He grit his teeth but couldn't say anything.

"Dismissed." Minato told them, sitting back down.

"Wait, why are we going on a mission without Naruto?" Sasuke asked Kurenai as they left the village.

Kurenai bit her cheek. Truth was she had no idea, but she wasnt about to admit that to the kid brother of the strongest jonin in the village. "Too many people to pay for just a C-rank mission. You two are here as added fire power, as my team is mostly tracker based or reconnaissance."

Karah shook her head as Sasuke glanced to her, she didnt get it either.

"Alright my cute genin, we camp here for the night." Guy called out, as he stuffed a map into his pocket.

A young boy with a bowl cut and similar green spandex shouted in joy, "Yes, Guy-sensei, may I ask Naruto for a sparring match?"

Guy laughed loudly, "Of course, but dont use all your power or injure yourself."

Neji scoffed, "Naruto was the rookie of the year, along with being the son of a hokage and having a previously unknown bloodline limit."

Naruto looked at the black orbs floating around his head, sometimes he forgot they were there. He willed them into black rings on his wrist and stood. "Sure Lee, I'll spar with you. Dont hold back alright?"

Lee had literal stars in his eyes, "Yosh!"

They walked over to a bit of clear ground and dropped into fighter stances.

"Fight!" Guy called.

Lee reacted instantly. He shot forward, hoping to overwhelm Naruto with his speed.

Naruto ducked under the kick, and grabbed his ankle. He attempted to throw him but Lee's weight slammed him into the ground.

Lee paused and scratched his head as Naruto jumped up to his feet.

"Howre you so heavy, Bushy-Brows?" Naruto asked, dusting himself off.

Lee pulled his orange leg warmer up a bit. "I wear weights."

"How much?"

Lee smiled cockily. "Roughly two thousand pounds."

"Lee! Bragging is unyouthful!"
