Nightmare

It's so very dark. I can't seem to find my way through this dark abyss. The panic sets in, I feel fear. I cry, calling out for help. I scream out his name, the feeling of terror truly setting in. Nagito? Huh? Nagito?!

I'm abruptly shocked awake.

"Hajime!"

I cry into my dark green ivory blankets, trying to dry my eyes.

"Nagito? Are you alright?"

Hajime..he's here.

"I'm fine now that you're here."

Hajime's cheeks lightly dust with pink.

"B-be real, Komaeda!" Hajime stuttered, "What happened?"

"Just a little nightmare, nothing for you to worry about." I replied, "You shouldn't worry about trash like me anyway."

That's right, I'm too awful for him to worry about someone like me. He shouldn't care for me. It's not like I'm a baby or something. He should spend more time on building his hope instead of on me. He could have an even better relationship with Chiaki.

"Don't say that."

"H-huh?" He brings me out of my self deprecating thoughts.

"I said don't say that. I know that you think you're worthless, but I chose you. Isn't that worth something?"

"Huh...I never really thought about it that way. Thanks, Hajime!"

"Yeah..I do l-love you, Nagito." He stuttered once again.

"Aww, I appreciate that! I love you too, Hajime Hinata!" I say.

Hajime then once again blushes at my words. He swiftly falls from our sitting-up position and wraps himself in the blankets. I lean down while pushing the blankets on his face to the side and give him a kiss.

"Hajimeee, get uuuup!" I whine, "We need to get up and get ready for a new day filled with hope!"

"Nooo, I need to stay in bed." He whined back, "Can we stay here for a little while longer?" He pleads.

"Fine." I sigh, falling back and laying next to him. Hajime wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me in tighter. I look at him, eyes lingering.

"W-what are you looking at?" He stutters again.

"Your pretty face." I say back.

He blushes again, burying his face in my chest.

"I'm going to sleep." He says in his already half asleep state.

I kiss his forehead and hum. We can get ready later.
