Chapter 6

" Alright. Meet me at my house today at 6 maybe?" I asked him.

"Sure. But for what?" he raised his perfe- Snapped out of it girl!

"For the music project of course. What else?" I replied as I made my way out of the school.

"Oh... Aight! See you later!" he saluted me. I chuckled and walked away.

"Wait!" someone grabbed my arm and made my skin feel tingly, and judging from the familiar voice I knew who it was by then. So cliché. Sighs. I turned around and looked at him.

"Can we grab some dinner now and we can go to your house together? My friends bailed on me and I do not want to go back home. I mean if you don't want to, i'll-" I cut him off by chuckling.

"Sure, why not'' I casually replied and we hopped on to his car. Which I must say its a very very nice expensive looking car. Damn him for being rich.

I hopped in the passenger seat and waited for him to say something.

'' So... what do you want to eat?'' he eyed me curiously. I shrugged.

" McDonald's it is then. Fine with you?''. I nodded in return.

The atmosphere is killing me right now. I'm sweating buckets like literally. '' Why is it so hot?'' I thought out loud.

'' Yea... that's funny. I turned on the air-con though...'' he wondered.

'' So... what song are we doing again?'' I asked.

''You want to listen to their song now? So we can like somehow get used to it before we start practising?'' I nodded and reached for my phone.

'' Song's starting...'' The music started and I found myself humming to the song and so is Dylan.

I unconsciously sang. What surprised me the most is that Brent sang the chorus with me too.

We just sat in silence throughout the rest of the ride. But I have to admit. That guy can sing pretty well if you ask me. It shocked me that we actually sounded nice together like seriously. That doensn't ever happen to me. Ever I tell you.

'' We're here now'' he announced, snapping me out of my trance. I opened my door and went out. We walked to the entrance side by side in silence. The place was quite empty so we easily chose a table by the windows.

''What do you want to eat?'' I asked him as I walked towards the cashier.

''A big Mac. With iced Milo and an apple pie. You?''

''Double cheeseburger with iced Milo, a chocolate sundae, an apple pie and nuggets'' I shrugged. He looked at me shocked and his eyes widening.

''What? Never seen a girl eat this much before?'' he shook his head.

'' Nope. Didn't think you were the kind of person to eat a lot. You seem... like those girls eating those disgusting ass shit of vegetables'' he replied.

'' Well Hun. Sad to say I'm not like those girls. I hate those stuff '' I crinkled my nose in disgust. He just laughed at me.

We placed our orders and got our food. We sat down and started gobbling down our delicious food. Yum.

'' So can you play any instruments?'' Brent asked me. I nodded my head since I couldn't talk with my mouth full.

'' Really? Which instrument?''

'' Umm... the piano and the guitar '' I replied once my mouth was clear of food.

'' Cool! Me too!'' he replied. And then small talks began. From birth dates to most embarrassing stories. And I'm glad to say we've been getting closer now and probably to the extent of being best friends...
