Chapter 7

"I'm home!" I shouted at I entered the house.

"Sorry for intruding..." Brent mumbled

"Make yourself at home. I'm gonna get me some snacks. You want some?" I asked him.

"Sure."

I went to the kitchen and looked inside the fridge...

"AHHHH!!"

"What! What happened!?" Brent came rushing inside the kitchen, looking prepared to kick some ass.

"There's... there's no food..." I said.

"Jesus. You scared me. I thought there was a robber or something" he sighed in relief.

"Nevermind that. We have no food" I pouted.

He sighed. "I'll order pizza"

"YAY!" I jumped and literally skipped to the living room.

"Ok so. Shall we start?" I asked.

"Sure. Do you have a guitar? Can I borrow it?" He asked. I nodded and went up to my room to get a guitar. I looked around and saw that I have 2 guitars. A normal acoustic guitar and a black guitar with white flames. Hmm... decisions decisions.

"BRENT! COME UP HERE!" I shouted from my room.

"What is it?" He popped his head inside my room.

"Which guitar do you want to use? Both are in tune just so you know"

"Let's see... the black one. It has a manly feel" I rolled my eyes at that. I picked it up and went downstairs with him trailing behind.

"Ok. So let's start. Do you want to change the song a bit? Like make some minor changes or something?" He said as he took the guitar.

"Sounds alright"

"Ok so we can do this... and then you can come in... then we can harmonise in this part..." and that is how our practice went.

-Time Skip-

"Thank you for the pizza. I could pay you if you want?" I said as I opened the front door.

"Nah it's fine. I can't let a girl pay can I?" There he goes being "gentlemanly".

Chuckling. I waved him goodbye as he entered his car. I stood there watching him drive off until he disappeared from the street.

Sighing. I walked back inside and lied down on the couch. Thinking back, today was not really that bad. I got closer with Brent, got free pizza and did a song together.

"Time to call it night..." I gathered my things and went back to my room.

- Next day-

"Yo Lexi!" Someone called my name from behind. Judging from the voice it must be him.

Turning around, I faced Brent with a smile.

"Hey! What's up?"

"Nothing much. Just wanted to ask if you want to have lunch later?" He asked looking at me with those big eyes of his.

Sighing. I cannot say no when he does that...

"Sure"

"Yes! I'll meet you at my car after school?" He says. I nod my head.

"Awesome. Meet you later!" He hugged me and pecked my cheek. And walked off. I just stood there frozen.

'Did he just kissed me on the cheek?!? Omg!' I thought.

Recalling what just happened moment ago, made me turn scarlet.

"Hey Alexia!" Turning around, I met a furious pair of eyes. Uh-oh.

"H-Hey Simon" I waved at him, still frozen on the spot.

"What was that guy doing?! Did he just kissed you on the cheek and hugged you?!" Shit. I guess he saw that.

"Erm... y-yea. We are just friends Simon. Nothing more" I assured him.

"You just let him do that to you?!?! When you have a boyfriend?!" He shouted. By now, we were getting attention from students. And now I was pissed.

"How would I know he would do that?! I'm not a psychic Simon!" I yelled at him.

"Wow. I guess your really a slut then. Letting guys touch you whenever they want" He sneered at me.

'Oh he did not just go there!' I thought

"I'm a slut?! Then what does that make you?! A manwhore?! You don't just judge me because of one thing I did not expect to happen! He was there when I needed you the most! He filled the gap you left in me! Where were you when I was at my worst?! Huh?! Where were you!?! From my guess. You were screwing some girls right?!?!" I screamed at him.

He looked down and said nothing. I guess the girls were right after all.

"I'M RIGHT AREN'T I?! WOW. I NEVER CHEATED ON YOU AND YOU CHEATED ON ME! YOUR THE SLUT HERE NOT ME. GET THAT. YOU PLAYED WITH MY FEELINGS! YOU PLAYED WITH ME! THIS RELATIONSHIP WAS JUST A FLING FOR YOU! WE DATED FOR
1 YEAR! 1 YEAR SIMON! DOESN'T THAT MEAN SOMETHING TO YOU?! IT'S SOMETHING SIMON! 1 YEAR AND THAT'S A LONG TIME" I shouted at him with tears running down my cheeks. My lips were shaking with every word I said.

" I WAS SERIOUS WITH YOU THAT'S WHY I NVER CHEATED ON YOU! PEOPLE TELL ME TO DUMP YOU BECAUSE YOU WERE NOT RIGHT FOR ME. BUT I DIDN'T LISTEN! I LOVED YOU SIMON. I LOVED YOU. NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAID I STILL DEFENDED YOU. I REALLY DID. WHAT DID I DO WRONG YOU TELL ME?!!? WHAT!?" I yelled. I got no response.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU" I stomped to him and slapped him hard on the cheek. Leaving a big red hand mark. I took a step back.

"I loved you Simon. I really really did. Just answer this. Did you ever love me?" I asked softly, feeling drained from all the screaming.

He looked up and met my eyes. And shook his head. His eyes filled with guilt and sorrow.

"I guess not" I laughed half heartedly.

" I guess I was the only one doing the chasing in this relationship. We're over Simon" I picked up my things that I have dropped when I was ranting. I walked to the bathroom and the crowd that had formed, parted like the red sea.

I entered inside and was thankful that no one was inside. I slid down the wall and hugged my knees. I began to cry...

I cried for my broken heart. I cried for the love I gave him. I cried for him.

" Alexia? Are you in there? It's Blue and the others. Can you open the door?" Blue said softly from the other side.

I stood up and went to open the door with shaky hands. I looked up and saw the girls. But when I saw Blue's comforting gaze...

I broke down again. I hugged onto Blue like my life depended on it. Slowly I was sitting on the floor with me still holding onto Blue. I felt a pair of hands rubbing my back soothing me.

"It's okay now Lex. Its okay. Shhh..." Anthea said softly.

"It's alright now Lexi. You're going to be fine now..." Pameron said.

" Yea... we're here now. No one is going to hurt you again..." Elisa said into my ear.

I slowly pulled away still crying a bit but I could manage.

"I'm sorry I didnt b-believe you guys. H-he c-cheated on m-me" I cried harder thinking about what happened just now.

"Shhh. It's alright. You were blinded by love" Elisa said.

I nodded my head and just sat there. Trying to calm down. Anthea sat infront of me with Blue beside her. Pameron and Elisa sat beside me. We just sat there without talking... they knew how I felt. I never cried infront of them before. Not once. This was the first time, I guess they didn't know what to do to comfort me. Normally I was the one comforting them but now the tables turned.

"Thank you for being here for me" I told them honestly. They nodded in reply. Still unable to speak, we just sat there enjoying each others' comfort...
